Cardinals
History
Founded in 1920. The oldest Professionall team in terms of continous operations was started as the Morgan Athletic Club in 1898. Played as Chicago Cardinals till 1959, then St. Louis Cardinals till 1987, then became the Phoenix Cardinals, then Arizona Cardinals. They had some good years in the late 70's behind Jim Hart and the "CardiacCards", but basically did nothing till reaching the Superbowl last year. Superbowl Apperances(1),Superbowl Wins(0).
2009 Season Preview
The Cards Finally got it right last year and almost went all the way. Benching Matt(Pretty boy) Leinhart, and playing Kurt(Happy Feet)Warner, was a gutsy but correct move by Coach Whisenhunt. Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin played incredible in the Playoffs, and the team ran the ball better and started to play defense. Add the fact that they had 2 playoff games at home, and "Voila" a trip to the Superbowl. This team is really not that bad, the only problem was their history holding them back, but now it can only help them. Drafting Beanie Wells will continue to help the running game. If The Big 3(Warner, Fitzgerald and Boldin if he comes back) play well, look for Arizona to again win a weak division, and be in the "Hunt for a Championship".

Arizona is 1-3 on the season and bettors should realize that each of the team’s games have been decided by seven points or less. The Cardinals have dropped consecutive games against the Seattle Seahawks (13-10) and New York Giants (31-27) despite out-gaining both teams.
New York is aiming to push its winning streak to three games after picking up wins over the St. Louis Rams and Philadelphia Eagles. The Giants have still been out-gained in all three contests this year.
Arizona was just a point away from being 2-0 this season, dropping a 22-21 contest to the Washington Redskins as 4.5-point road underdogs. Cardinals betting are 2-0 against-the-spread this year, but have been out-gained in both contests by a combined 214 yards.
Arizona managed to pull off a 28-21 win over the Carolina Panthers as seven-point home favorites in the opening week, but managed to be out-gained by 83 yards in the process
Carolina begins life with No. 1 draft pick Cam Newton under center after his Heisman Trophy and national championship season at Auburn. It’s safe to say that he’s earned the respect of many team mates in earning the starting
Florida Atlantic travels to The Swamp in Gainesville and will begin the final season under head coach Howard Schnellenberger, who began the program 13 years ago, taking it from obscurity into the major college football ranks
LSU is a dominating 20-4 all-time against current members of the Pac-12 Conference, which includes a 3-0 mark under Miles. Playing inside of a dome will likely factor little in the Tigers ability to come out with a victory, entering with a 22-7 all-time mark when indoors. LSU has won
Denver has won back-to-back games, but failed to cover as six-point home favorites in a 23-20 home win over the Seattle Seahawks. The Broncos will now finish out the exhibition season
Bettors are enjoying a unique opportunity to start playing around with the NFL Week 1 lines this year, even with many roster spots in doubt due to free agency starting this week. Professional bettors will continue moving these numbers around until the season kicks off with a premiere matchup
The Kevin Kolb era in Arizona started off with a 24-18 road win as 3.5-point underdogs over the Oakland Raiders last week. The former Philadelphia Eagles’ signal-caller completed 4 of 7 passes for 68
The ongoing negotiations between the NFL owners and the Players Association to arrive at a new CBA (collective bargaining agreement) continue to point towards a resolution that could potentially end a four-month owner imposed lockout of the players and reopen the league for business as early as the end of this week
The 2011 Pro Bowl returns to Hawaii after being held in Miami, Florida last year. The annual contest of the AFC's and NFC's best will take place Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at 7 p.m. ET. This is only the second time in history that the Pro Bowl will be held the week
Both of these teams have been huge disappointments this year. The Cardinals should have been at the top of the west, and Dallas should have at least been competitive in the east. There is no reason for Dallas
Oh how the mighty have fallen, both of these teams were in the Super Bowl in recent history and now both are in need of a minor overhaul. Arizona is in better shape than Carolina
Man, what a mess this division is. It’s getting to the point that you can’t even watch these games from the NFC West. Unfortunately,
Both of these teams had a rough time last week, but this is the year of parody in the NFL, so both still have a shot at a division crown. Arizona has to make a decision on
Seattle got killed by the Giants last week while Arizona played well in Minnesota but didn’t win. Anybody can win the NFC West this year, and this is an important division
Arizona has been very mediocre this year while Minnesota has been very “shitty" this year also. Actually they have had a rough schedule, and a “fossil†at quarterback
Tampa Bay has been playing great football all year. Every year there is one team that takes advantage of a weak schedule, and continues winning. The Cardinals were that team a few years ago
Seattle has quietly been playing very good football this year. Arizona has a lot of problems, including starting a rookie free agent at quarterback
New Orleans is finding out that it is harder to be the hunted than the hunter this year. Arizona is finding out that it is hard to win when you don’t
Another great week. We went 7-3 and hit on our big teaser bet. That makes it year to date, 27-14-1 and 3-1 on Teaser betting. We will start the week
San Diego has run into 2 buzz saws on the road in K.C.and Seattle. They certainly weren’t prepared in either game and rightfully lost both games
The Raiders played hard last week and found a way to win. They Cardinals didn’t bother to show up and found a way to lose. I saw Kurt Warner on “Dancing with the starsâ€
After a surprising Week 3 performance in which Wisconsin barely squeaked out a 20-19 win over Arizona State and needed a blocked extra point to do it, the Badgers get
Arizona found a way to win last week in St. Louis whileAtlanta did the opposite against Pittsburgh. Atlanta has to have this game if they want to have a good year.
The Cardinals had their chance at a title last few years, now they must retool, not rebuild. Man hasn’t Matt Leinhart turned out to be a dud. They do have Derek Anderson however, who has the same “gun slingerâ€
Another rematch, but it isn’t because Arizona really didn’t show up to play last week. In general we like Green Bay but not in this spot. Arizona is the defending NFC Champion, they are playing at home and will find a way to win this game. Aaron Rogers and company will have many days in the sun
With emotions running high on both sides of the ball, one team (Florida) will benefit greatly. The other will suffer an embarrassing loss on New Year’s Day. Cincinnati is playing without former head coach Brian Kelly, who led the Bearcats to significant success in recent years
Arizona played like the Lions last week and won, while the Rams played great and lost, but such is life. Good teams find a way to win while bad teams find a way lose. This has been a great week to bet so far as we feel strongly about our picks. This game however scares us
Virginia coach Al Groh has beaten the Cavaliers’ arch rival Hokies just one time in his nine years at UVA. He and the Cavaliers look to make that number two and possibly avoid his firing this Saturday in Charlottesville. The Hokies are in a down year at 8-3 and will not contend for the ACC Championship,
Not quite the same allure as the Red River Rivalry between Texas and Oklahoma, but this week’s Bedlam Rivalry game is Oklahoma State’s Super Bowl. The Cowboys have had a tremendous season so far and Oklahoma is sitting at 6-5, ensured of its worst season since 1999
Boise State doesn’t play too many home games where they are only 14 point favorites, but that is exactly what they are this week when Nevada comes to play on the blue turf. Boise State needs a win this week, and badly. Though the Broncos are 11-0, their only hope for a BCS appearance
Despite an 11-0 record up to this point, Alabama still realistically needs to win its next two games to get into the National Championship. With Florida a perfect 11-0 as well, the Crimson Tide will need to beat Auburn this week and Florida in the SEC Championship
At first glance you might think that it was quite a shocker that Oakland beat Cincinnati last week, but at we said the Bengals were coming off their biggest win in years and might be flat. We also felt that Jamarcus Russell was hindering the Raider offense and the switch to anybody but he was the correct move
The betting line here has gone up from 7.5 to 9 very quickly. Arizona won this game in Seattle a few weeks ago 27-3,and do you really believe this is going to be any different. Arizona has been playing some of the best football in the NFL as of late.
The Cardinals really proved that they are for real by going into Giants stadium and beating the Giants last week. The Panthers threw in a stinker last week in losing to Buffalo. The early money here has knocked the line up from 7.5 up to 10, quite an increase
We still love the Texans and feel that they have not begun to play their best football yet. They started to play the way we feel they are capable last week with an impressive 26-9 victory that was part of our teaser.
Both of these teams have problems. Miami really can’t play offense at the N.F.L. level. They look like a college or high school team at times, with their “Wildcat†offense and their quarterback who throws the ball like a shot put. Another quarterback, who has a funky delivery is Phillip Rivers
The next 2 games that we are picking, we are going a little bit out on a limb. There are 2 home dogs that both played very well last week as huge underdogs. Both teams had opportunities to win outright but didn’t.
Jacksonville played their hearts out at the Colts last week in Indianapolis, as we said they would, but although they covered, they came up a little short.
If this match up seems familiar, it is because it should. The Cardinals served as the 2009 NFL Playoff's version of Cinderella, upsetting Carolina and Philadelphia before losing 27-23 to the Steelers in the Super Bowl.
Stop thinking about rain by itself as a bad weather indicator. Look at the mix of wind, turf quality, and precipitation. It's the mix that matters, not one third of the mix.
Beating NFL 1st Quarter Lines
Bettors no longer have to look at mere sides and/or game totals to strike it rich as mostly all the online sports books (and many Las Vegas) outlets provide first and second half wagering lines along with quarter by quarter prices too on football betting.
