Browns Picks
Cleveland comes off its bye week and will make a trip to Northern California to take on the Oakland Raiders.
Tennessee has won consecutive games since dropping its season opener to the Jacksonville Jaguars, but lost a significant piece of its offense with a season-ending injury to wide receiver Kenny Britt.
Miami is searching for its first victory of the season after dropping back-to-back home contests to the New England Patriots (38-24) and Houston Texans (23-13). The Dolphins also failed to cover the spread in both instances.
Cleveland is mainly a road favorite in this contest due to Indianapolis dropping a 34-7 road contest to the Houston Texans than its own defeat to the Cincinnati Bengals. The Browns fell to 0-1 on the season in losing a 27-17
The Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns will be playing for the 76th time Sunday afternoon when facing off inside Cleveland Browns Stadium. The Browns opened up as a 3-point home favorite and has since moved to 6.5-7 in most spots
Florida Atlantic travels to The Swamp in Gainesville and will begin the final season under head coach Howard Schnellenberger, who began the program 13 years ago, taking it from obscurity into the major college football ranks
LSU is a dominating 20-4 all-time against current members of the Pac-12 Conference, which includes a 3-0 mark under Miles. Playing inside of a dome will likely factor little in the Tigers ability to come out with a victory, entering with a 22-7 all-time mark when indoors. LSU has won
Cleveland has dropped consecutive games SU and ATS since winning its preseason opener against the Green Bay Packers (27-17). The Browns have been out-gained by 176 combined yards in losses to the
Cleveland has been highly-competitive in the preseason thus far, winning a 27-17 home contest over the Green Bay Packers, while dropping last week’s game against the Detroit Tigers by the score
Bettors are enjoying a unique opportunity to start playing around with the NFL Week 1 lines this year, even with many roster spots in doubt due to free agency starting this week. Professional bettors will continue moving these numbers around until the season kicks off with a premiere matchup
Detroit has been tabbed by many experts as a team to watch for the upcoming 2011 season and quarterback Matthew Stafford put everyone on notice. He completed 6-of-7 passes
The ongoing negotiations between the NFL owners and the Players Association to arrive at a new CBA (collective bargaining agreement) continue to point towards a resolution that could potentially end a four-month owner imposed lockout of the players and reopen the league for business as early as the end of this week
The 2011 Pro Bowl returns to Hawaii after being held in Miami, Florida last year. The annual contest of the AFC's and NFC's best will take place Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at 7 p.m. ET. This is only the second time in history that the Pro Bowl will be held the week
Pittsburgh has played hard this year but never seems to dominate. Cleveland will be a team to watch next year. We are tempted to take the Browns and the 6 points in this spot
Baltimore is playing very good December football, and looks like a team that wants to go very deep into the playoffs this year. Cleveland has been surprising people all year but
Both of these teams have been playing good football this year. Cleveland has been finding ways to win games, however, and Buffalo has been finding ways
There is no line on this game because of the injury to Joshua Cribbs and half of Carolina’s team being hurt. You have to give the Browns credit, they do play hard every week
As we mentioned with their Jets and Texans, one of these teams got extremely lucky last week and one got extremely unlucky. That being said
Quite a shocker when Cleveland won outright last week against New England. We had them as part of our teaser, but didn’t think that they would actually win
Cleveland is another team that has greatly exceeded expectations this year. As a matter of fact so have the Patriots. By the way, didn’t you love those old throwback uniforms
How Bout Dem Cowgirlsâ€. I am laughing sooooo hard right now. Why do all of the “EXPERTS" always pick Dallas to go all
New Orleans didn’t mess around last week in Tampa; we thought the game was going to be a lot closer. The Browns played very well against Pittsburgh last week
We usually don’t like to bet a lot on bad teams, but when we look at this game, it is one of the better plays on the board. Cleveland has surprisingly played
Part 2 of our teaser is Browns +16. Cleveland surprised the Bengals last week, and is making great improvements while Atlanta
Another great week. We went 7-3 and hit on our big teaser bet. That makes it year to date, 27-14-1 and 3-1 on Teaser betting. We will start the week
After a so-so week our record this year stands at 20-11-1. Now things are going to get tougher as some teams throw in the towel, and the favorites start to cover. That is not our style to take the favorites
After a surprising Week 3 performance in which Wisconsin barely squeaked out a 20-19 win over Arizona State and needed a blocked extra point to do it, the Badgers get
We thought the Chiefs had a chance to win that game last week, but we didn’t think that they would dominate like that, especially in the first half. They have maybe the best special teams in the league
Both of these teams played some pretty good ball at the end of last year. The Browns have a good coach and some good young players. Tampa drafted 2 great defensive tight ends to help an already good defense.
With emotions running high on both sides of the ball, one team (Florida) will benefit greatly. The other will suffer an embarrassing loss on New Year’s Day. Cincinnati is playing without former head coach Brian Kelly, who led the Bearcats to significant success in recent years
The Browns have started to play surprisingly better the last few weeks. It is hard to believe that they like Eric Mangini enough to try to save his job. There is however a lot of talent on this team, that hasn’t performed up to their potential
Another great week betting, if you’ve been taking our advice all year, you have money in the bank by now. We hit on our weekly teaser last week, and we are going to start off with another one this week. What the hell is wrong with Pittsburgh? The problem is that they are not that good, and never were. Even last year when they went all the way, they never totally dominated people
We knew the Bengals were going to have an off week but losing that game against the raiders is unacceptable. That is not what Champions do. Luckily for them Pittsburgh and Baltimore also lost. Everybody is entitled to make mistakes but, one must learn from their mistakes
Virginia coach Al Groh has beaten the Cavaliers’ arch rival Hokies just one time in his nine years at UVA. He and the Cavaliers look to make that number two and possibly avoid his firing this Saturday in Charlottesville. The Hokies are in a down year at 8-3 and will not contend for the ACC Championship,
Not quite the same allure as the Red River Rivalry between Texas and Oklahoma, but this week’s Bedlam Rivalry game is Oklahoma State’s Super Bowl. The Cowboys have had a tremendous season so far and Oklahoma is sitting at 6-5, ensured of its worst season since 1999
Boise State doesn’t play too many home games where they are only 14 point favorites, but that is exactly what they are this week when Nevada comes to play on the blue turf. Boise State needs a win this week, and badly. Though the Broncos are 11-0, their only hope for a BCS appearance
Despite an 11-0 record up to this point, Alabama still realistically needs to win its next two games to get into the National Championship. With Florida a perfect 11-0 as well, the Crimson Tide will need to beat Auburn this week and Florida in the SEC Championship
At first glance you might think that it was quite a shocker that Oakland beat Cincinnati last week, but at we said the Bengals were coming off their biggest win in years and might be flat. We also felt that Jamarcus Russell was hindering the Raider offense and the switch to anybody but he was the correct move
We knew last week that there was no reason to take Cleveland +5.5 so we did. We said it was a little risky at 5.5 and wait for line to get to 7, and then jump all over Cleveland. The line got to 6.5 then we bet the Browns both before the game and at halftime.
Both of these teams have problems. Miami really can’t play offense at the N.F.L. level. They look like a college or high school team at times, with their “Wildcat†offense and their quarterback who throws the ball like a shot put. Another quarterback, who has a funky delivery is Phillip Rivers
The next 2 games that we are picking, we are going a little bit out on a limb. There are 2 home dogs that both played very well last week as huge underdogs. Both teams had opportunities to win outright but didn’t.
Our 13 point teaser bet of the Week begins in Baltimore. We hit on most of our big teasers last week, but the one they we were worried about, and let us down was Cleveland.
This is the most dangerous part of our 4 team teaser. Both of these teams are pretty bad. The Broncos got extremely lucky with that late touchdown to Brandon Stokley, to defeat the Bengals last week.
Things looked promising in the first half of last year for the Green Bay Packers. Their quarterback of the future, Aaron Rodgers, was progressing nicely, and a 5-5 record, while not dominant, was not a cause of concern.
Stop thinking about rain by itself as a bad weather indicator. Look at the mix of wind, turf quality, and precipitation. It's the mix that matters, not one third of the mix.
Beating NFL 1st Quarter Lines
Bettors no longer have to look at mere sides and/or game totals to strike it rich as mostly all the online sports books (and many Las Vegas) outlets provide first and second half wagering lines along with quarter by quarter prices too on football betting.
