Cowboys Picks
NFL Week 17 Betting Previews- Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants Point spread: New York -2.5 Over/Under: 46
The well-rested Dallas Cowboys, who are coming off a bye-week, travel to Foxborough this week for a Sunday afternoon tilt with the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium. Kick-off is set for 4:15 (p.m.) and the game will be broadcast nationally on CBS
Detroit overcame a 20-0 deficit at halftime to register a 26-23 win over the Minnesota Vikings last week as three-point road favorites, moving the team’s record to a perfect 3-0. Expectations are now sky-high for this franchise in the Motor City.
One of the best rivalries in the NFL takes center stage this upcoming Monday night when the Washington Redskins square-off against the Dallas Cowboys in an early NFC East showdown. Game time from Cowboys Stadium is set for 8:30 p.m. (ET) and it will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
Dallas wants to avoid an 0-2 start at all costs, as it went down the same path last year and it turned into a 1-7 record at the midway point in 2010. The Cowboys had every opportunity to win
The Dallas Cowboys are coming off a disappointing 6-10 campaign and will now be playing their first full year under the direction of head coach Jason Garrett
Florida Atlantic travels to The Swamp in Gainesville and will begin the final season under head coach Howard Schnellenberger, who began the program 13 years ago, taking it from obscurity into the major college football ranks
LSU is a dominating 20-4 all-time against current members of the Pac-12 Conference, which includes a 3-0 mark under Miles. Playing inside of a dome will likely factor little in the Tigers ability to come out with a victory, entering with a 22-7 all-time mark when indoors. LSU has won
Dallas has begun the Jason Garrett-Tony Romo era with two wins during the preseason, but have tallied a 1-2 ATS mark in the process. Interestingly enough, all three of the Cowboys preseason games before this one started with a spread within a field goal.
Bettors are enjoying a unique opportunity to start playing around with the NFL Week 1 lines this year, even with many roster spots in doubt due to free agency starting this week. Professional bettors will continue moving these numbers around until the season kicks off with a premiere matchup
The ongoing negotiations between the NFL owners and the Players Association to arrive at a new CBA (collective bargaining agreement) continue to point towards a resolution that could potentially end a four-month owner imposed lockout of the players and reopen the league for business as early as the end of this week
The 2011 Pro Bowl returns to Hawaii after being held in Miami, Florida last year. The annual contest of the AFC's and NFC's best will take place Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at 7 p.m. ET. This is only the second time in history that the Pro Bowl will be held the week
Both of these teams have been huge disappointments this year. The Cardinals should have been at the top of the west, and Dallas should have at least been competitive in the east. There is no reason for Dallas
This looked like a good game on paper earlier in the season, many people thought the Cowboys would be good, and we expected the Redskins
Dallas has been playing really good ball and should have won that Thanksgiving game. Peyton Manning has been out on an island lately with half
This is the reason I love football and I love betting on football. Motivation wins games. People were laughing at the Cowboys, the coach was fired
I heard that in Dallas if you get caught speeding the fine is that they give you 2 tickets to the game, and on a second offense you must actually attend the
I am laughing so hard that the Cowgirls are 1-5 and are starting 98 year old John Kitna at quarterback. I guess America’s team will have to wait until next preseason
The Giants are coming into Rome "not praise Caesar, but to bury himâ€. If the Cowboys lose this game they are pretty much done as a division winner
Stop listening to all the idiots on TV and start listening to the sharp bettors like myself. Before the season, these 2 teams were supposed to meet for the NFC title
Katy Perry would love Tennessee, because they’ve been "hot, then they're coldâ€, while the Cowboys have been mostly cold
Another great week. We went 7-3 and hit on our big teaser bet. That makes it year to date, 27-14-1 and 3-1 on Teaser betting. We will start the week
How bout dem Cowboys!!!!. America’s team is 0-2 and I’m laughing my ass off. How can you possibly lose to the Bears at home in a must win game. We told you bet the Bears +9 but we didn’t think
After a surprising Week 3 performance in which Wisconsin barely squeaked out a 20-19 win over Arizona State and needed a blocked extra point to do it, the Badgers get
We told you Dallas wasn’t that good, plus they have major problems with their Offensive line now. Chicago got lucky last week, against Detroit. That being said
Now we are talking. This is a Frankie Special. National T.V., division rivals, one team is overrated the other underrated, and the dog is getting more
It seems almost like Vegas and the online sports books planned week 17 to be a set-up for a huge pay day this week. This is the second game in a row that is going to have stupid people looking back at last week’s game and betting the wrong team. The Eagles did need that game last week, but once thing got out of hand, they stopped playing in the second half.
With emotions running high on both sides of the ball, one team (Florida) will benefit greatly. The other will suffer an embarrassing loss on New Year’s Day. Cincinnati is playing without former head coach Brian Kelly, who led the Bearcats to significant success in recent years
We knew the Cowboys didn’t have enough guns to beat the Chargers last week, but this week is a different story. New Orleans has been just winning by the “skin of their teeth†lately, and will continue to until they finally lose their fear of losing their first game. People are fickle. You know that everybody is going to be betting the Saints here
Virginia coach Al Groh has beaten the Cavaliers’ arch rival Hokies just one time in his nine years at UVA. He and the Cavaliers look to make that number two and possibly avoid his firing this Saturday in Charlottesville. The Hokies are in a down year at 8-3 and will not contend for the ACC Championship,
Not quite the same allure as the Red River Rivalry between Texas and Oklahoma, but this week’s Bedlam Rivalry game is Oklahoma State’s Super Bowl. The Cowboys have had a tremendous season so far and Oklahoma is sitting at 6-5, ensured of its worst season since 1999
Boise State doesn’t play too many home games where they are only 14 point favorites, but that is exactly what they are this week when Nevada comes to play on the blue turf. Boise State needs a win this week, and badly. Though the Broncos are 11-0, their only hope for a BCS appearance
Despite an 11-0 record up to this point, Alabama still realistically needs to win its next two games to get into the National Championship. With Florida a perfect 11-0 as well, the Crimson Tide will need to beat Auburn this week and Florida in the SEC Championship
At first glance you might think that it was quite a shocker that Oakland beat Cincinnati last week, but at we said the Bengals were coming off their biggest win in years and might be flat. We also felt that Jamarcus Russell was hindering the Raider offense and the switch to anybody but he was the correct move
The Packers are a better team then they have been showing the last few weeks. The Cowboys played very well in upsetting the Eagles last week. This is going to be a good game, and we are going to take the home dog here. The Cowboys have had a hard time being consistent
We hit on our 3-team ten-point teaser last week when the Giants +1.5 and Texans +1 both won easily and the Jags +13 blew out the Titans. This week we are going to come back with a 4-team 13-point teaser.
Both of these teams have problems. Miami really can’t play offense at the N.F.L. level. They look like a college or high school team at times, with their “Wildcat†offense and their quarterback who throws the ball like a shot put. Another quarterback, who has a funky delivery is Phillip Rivers
The next 2 games that we are picking, we are going a little bit out on a limb. There are 2 home dogs that both played very well last week as huge underdogs. Both teams had opportunities to win outright but didn’t.
The reason we are including this game in our 13 point teaser is because this will be a great game to watch that will come down to a late field goal, or touchdown, and 3 points just isn’t enough.
The Cowboys are much better off without Terrel Owens. Tony Romo can finally take control of the team and do things his way. The NFC East has been tough in recent years, but never this tough as all 4 teams are very good.
Led by Tony Romo, the Cowboys finished a disappointing 9-7 last season (7-9 AGAINST THE SPREAD), putting the pressure on the third year starter and head coach Wade Phillips.
Stop thinking about rain by itself as a bad weather indicator. Look at the mix of wind, turf quality, and precipitation. It's the mix that matters, not one third of the mix.
Beating NFL 1st Quarter Lines
Bettors no longer have to look at mere sides and/or game totals to strike it rich as mostly all the online sports books (and many Las Vegas) outlets provide first and second half wagering lines along with quarter by quarter prices too on football betting.
