Very sad night for Giant fans last week. Winning the division is out of the question now, but the playoffs are still a possibility. No matter, this team is not winning the Super bowl. This is the worst Giant defense I have ever seen. We have cornerbacks playing safety

Let me start by saying I am a lifelong Giants fan, but as a professional I try to be objective about my team. I bet heavy on the Giants money line early in the week last week because I knew the Giants would win that game against Dallas. This week is a different story however

Despite an 11-0 record up to this point, Alabama still realistically needs to win its next two games to get into the National Championship. With Florida a perfect 11-0 as well, the Crimson Tide will need to beat Auburn this week and Florida in the SEC Championship

Boise State doesn’t play too many home games where they are only 14 point favorites, but that is exactly what they are this week when Nevada comes to play on the blue turf. Boise State needs a win this week, and badly. Though the Broncos are 11-0, their only hope for a BCS appearance

At first glance you might think that it was quite a shocker that Oakland beat Cincinnati last week, but at we said the Bengals were coming off their biggest win in years and might be flat. We also felt that Jamarcus Russell was hindering the Raider offense and the switch to anybody but he was the correct move

Both of these teams started the year out very hot, and then fell on difficult times. One of these teams however is back on track and the other is still in trouble. I think you can figure out which team is which. The Broncos were never that good and used a motivating rookie coach

At the time of the writing of the column there was no line on this game due to the uncertain status of Falcon running back Michael Turner. The Giants needed a bye 2 weeks earlier, after the Arizona loss to regroup, but that wasn’t the case. They were wounded against New Orleans

I really don’t know where to begin with the Giants. They have the most talent of any team in football, and probably some of the most depth. They do however have one HUGE defect and that's at safety. The only hole in this team before the season was lack of depth at safety

The Giants have really looked bad the last 2 weeks, and there is reason to be very concerned in Giant Camp. The Eagles used a few big plays to cover vs. Washington last week. Just to give full disclosure, I am a Giant fan, but I believe I am also very objective about my team and know them inside and out.

The only slight weakness in the Giants this year is lack of depth at safety. They started the year with only 3 good safeties, and then Kenny Phillips got hurt. C.C. Brown was making mistake after mistake and getting, exposed by Drew Brees last week. There is cause for concern there, but not panic.

This is the game of the week. We would love to pick this game outright, but it’s really too close to call. Unless you are one of those people that believe that the Eagles are going anywhere, you have to realize that the winner of this game will have the inside track to host the NFC Championship game.

The Giants are on part 3 of their 3 game swing against bad teams. Eli Manning has a slight injury to his heel and may not play. This won’t matter very much

The Giants showed last week that are taking this season very seriously. They had no let down last week vs. Tampa Bay, and played a near perfect game in dominating the Buccaneers from start to finish winning 24-0. This week will be much of the same

Both of these teams have problems. Miami really can’t play offense at the N.F.L. level. They look like a college or high school team at times, with their “Wildcat” offense and their quarterback who throws the ball like a shot put. Another quarterback, who has a funky delivery is Phillip Rivers

This game scares me, not only as a Giant fan but as a bettor. This is a trap game for the Giants. After 2 huge wins against division rivals, Dallas and Washington, they now play 3 games in a row versus bad teams

The next 2 games that we are picking, we are going a little bit out on a limb. There are 2 home dogs that both played very well last week as huge underdogs. Both teams had opportunities to win outright but didn’t.

The reason we are including this game in our 13 point teaser is because this will be a great game to watch that will come down to a late field goal, or touchdown, and 3 points just isn’t enough.

In order to complete our 4 team, 13 point teaser, we are going to tease the Giants from -6.5 to +6.5. The reason for this is simple, the Giants will dominate this opening game as they did in last year’s opener against the Redskins.

The Panthers better get used to playing the Giants at the Meadowlands quickly – their preseason game is a precursor to their Week 16 matchup at New York later this season.
