NFL Philadelphia Eagles

It seems almost like Vegas and the online sports books planned week 17 to be a set-up for a huge pay day this week. This is the second game in a row that is going to have stupid people looking back at last week’s game and betting the wrong team. The Eagles did need that game last week, but once thing got out of hand, they stopped playing in the second half.

Not quite the same allure as the Red River Rivalry between Texas and Oklahoma, but this week’s Bedlam Rivalry game is Oklahoma State’s Super Bowl. The Cowboys have had a tremendous season so far and Oklahoma is sitting at 6-5, ensured of its worst season since 1999

Boise State doesn’t play too many home games where they are only 14 point favorites, but that is exactly what they are this week when Nevada comes to play on the blue turf. Boise State needs a win this week, and badly. Though the Broncos are 11-0, their only hope for a BCS appearance

At first glance you might think that it was quite a shocker that Oakland beat Cincinnati last week, but at we said the Bengals were coming off their biggest win in years and might be flat. We also felt that Jamarcus Russell was hindering the Raider offense and the switch to anybody but he was the correct move

Both of these teams are in big trouble, with Chicago maybe in a little more. Jay Cutler threw 5 interceptions last week. These teams seems to meet every year, and the game always comes down to the wire. This year will be no different.

F—king Phillip Rivers. His late touchdown drive vs the Giants last week cost me a 4 team parlay bet. Actually ,the fault lies with N.Y. for not putting it in the end zone from the 4 yard line, after they intercepted that pass with 3 minutes left. You had to know that Rivers would go right down the field, because that what Phillip Rivers does

The Eagles crushed the Giants last week, but it was not as much due to their good play as much as the terrible play of the Giants. The Cowboy-Seahawk game was similar, in the fact that did the Cowboys play that well or did the Seahawks play that bad

The Giants have really looked bad the last 2 weeks, and there is reason to be very concerned in Giant Camp. The Eagles used a few big plays to cover vs. Washington last week. Just to give full disclosure, I am a Giant fan, but I believe I am also very objective about my team and know them inside and out.

You must be kidding me. After losing to Oakland last week, why are the Eagles laying a touchdown versus anybody, even the lowly Redskins. Did you read somewhere that for the first 6 weeks of the season, every team that Washington played came into the game win less?

This game scares us. The Raiders looked like a bad high school team last week at the Giants. The Eagles still haven’t played anyone good, and when they did they got killed by New Orleans. Philly shouldn’t be laying 2 touchdowns vs. anybody

The Eagles are coming off a bye week, and should be ready to play here. If the Bucs couldn’t beat Washington last week when they had a 10 point lead, they are not going to win this game

Both of these teams have problems. Miami really can’t play offense at the N.F.L. level. They look like a college or high school team at times, with their “Wildcat” offense and their quarterback who throws the ball like a shot put. Another quarterback, who has a funky delivery is Phillip Rivers

The next 2 games that we are picking, we are going a little bit out on a limb. There are 2 home dogs that both played very well last week as huge underdogs. Both teams had opportunities to win outright but didn’t.

This game scares me, not only as a Giant fan but as a bettor. This is a trap game for the Giants. After 2 huge wins against division rivals, Dallas and Washington, they now play 3 games in a row versus bad teams

We are not touching this game with a ten foot pole. First of all, you have no idea who is playing quarterback for the Eagles. Donavan McNabb is still questionable with bruised ribs. So they brought in Jeff Garcia for backup.

Even though we don’t feel that Donovan McNabb is that great a quarterback, he is still better than Kevin Kolb. Since McNabb is out this week with cracked ribs, and Michael Vick is not yet off his suspension, the Eagles will lose this game.

This is an excellent game between 2 teams that are “solid”, but overrated. Philadelphia goes into this game a 1 point favorite. Everyone is picking the Eagles to go to the Superbowl. Ridiculous!
