Steelers Picks
NFL Wildcard Round Betting Previews- Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Denver Broncos Point spread: Pittsburgh -9 Total line: 34.5
Monday Night Football Betting Preview- Pittsburgh Steelers vs. San Francisco 49ers Point spread: San Francisco -2.5 Over/Under: OFF
The lead in AFC North will be on the line this Sunday night when the Baltimore Ravens face-off against the Pittsburgh Steelers in one of the most heated rivalries in the NFL. The kick-off for this one is set for 8:20 p.m. (ET) and the game will be broadcast
Jacksonville is 1-4 on the season and bettors may be hesitant in wagering on the team, but the last seven meetings between these two have been decided by 10 points or less.
Tennessee is just three points away from coming into this game with a perfect 4-0 record, coming in on a three-game winning streak that followed a 16-14 season-opening loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Pittsburgh Steelers will try and win their third straight game when they take on the Houston Texans at Reliant Stadium this upcoming Sunday afternoon. The kick-off is slated for 1 p.m. (ET) and the game will be broadcast nationally on CBS.
Seattle is likely to start the season 0-2 after suffering a 33-17 loss to the San Francisco 49ers as six-point road underdogs and now being the highest priced underdog in Week 2. The Seahawks did manage to out-gain the 49ers by 10 yards last week.
The Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens split both regular-season meetings a year ago, only to see the Steelers register a 31-24 win as 3.5-point home favorites in the AFC Divisional round
Florida Atlantic travels to The Swamp in Gainesville and will begin the final season under head coach Howard Schnellenberger, who began the program 13 years ago, taking it from obscurity into the major college football ranks
LSU is a dominating 20-4 all-time against current members of the Pac-12 Conference, which includes a 3-0 mark under Miles. Playing inside of a dome will likely factor little in the Tigers ability to come out with a victory, entering with a 22-7 all-time mark when indoors. LSU has won
Pittsburgh enters off back-to-back home wins as three-point favorites against the Atlanta Falcons (34-16) and Philadelphia Eagles (24-14) and will now end their preseason against a rookie quarterback
Atlanta has looked nothing like the team that went into last year’s playoffs as the No. 1 seed in opening the preseason with two straight losses over the Miami Dolphins (28-23) and Jacksonville Jaguars (15-13)
Bettors are enjoying a unique opportunity to start playing around with the NFL Week 1 lines this year, even with many roster spots in doubt due to free agency starting this week. Professional bettors will continue moving these numbers around until the season kicks off with a premiere matchup
Philadelphia has been called the NFL’s “Dream Team†during the month of August and came away with an uneventful 13-6 home win over the Baltimore Ravens last Thursday night as 3-point
The ongoing negotiations between the NFL owners and the Players Association to arrive at a new CBA (collective bargaining agreement) continue to point towards a resolution that could potentially end a four-month owner imposed lockout of the players and reopen the league for business as early as the end of this week
I read something once that was really great. It said “If you want to find out where all the smart money (professional money) is going, you must check out the early line movements on Sunday night or Monday morning, and the initial bump, is the
The 2011 Pro Bowl returns to Hawaii after being held in Miami, Florida last year. The annual contest of the AFC's and NFC's best will take place Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at 7 p.m. ET. This is only the second time in history that the Pro Bowl will be held the week
Are you kidding me. How the hell can these clowns aka the Jets still be playing football. Is New England that stupid, they can’t stop a one dimensional team as the Jets. Pittsburgh is not
The Kidd went 4-0 last week, as he gave you Seattle +10, Ravens-3, Jets +2.5 and Green Bay under 46.5. This week is little harder as the rested home favorites seem
Pittsburgh has played hard this year but never seems to dominate. Cleveland will be a team to watch next year. We are tempted to take the Browns and the 6 points in this spot
Our record stands at 70-56-5 for the year, and we are going to finish strong and make a lot of money in the playoffs. We are going to start this week with our weekly
We told you the Jets suck, now do you believe us. The offense looks terrible and the defense is starting to show some holes, and can you believe that clown that tripped
Let me start by saying that Baltimore is a better team than Pittsburgh. They are playing at a higher level every week, with more intensity. They have a better quarterback, a better
Hasn’t Oakland been one of the pleasant surprises this year? I heard someone say “the NFL is more exciting when the Raiders are playing good
The Steelers have been finding a way to win close games every week while the Patriots have been doing the same till last week. Both of these teams have trouble scoring some times
The Bengals have been disappointing this year. I guess Terrell Owens is ahead of schedule in destroying a team’s chemistry. However, Pittsburgh has been playing better than expected. This is going to be a great game
Nice game to end October on Halloween. The Saints have not been playing like the Saints as of yet this year. The Steelers have exceeded expectations considering Big Ben was suspended
Our record stands at 34-23-2 now, just a few more weeks till November and December where we really shine. Pittsburgh looks like a serious contender in the AFC
We usually don’t like to bet a lot on bad teams, but when we look at this game, it is one of the better plays on the board. Cleveland has surprisingly played
Another great week. We went 7-3 and hit on our big teaser bet. That makes it year to date, 27-14-1 and 3-1 on Teaser betting. We will start the week
This is one of my favorite games of the week. The Steelers have surprised everybody by going 3-0, without their quarterback while the Ravens
We nailed it with The Niners +4.5 on Monday Night Football versus New Orleans. They tried so hard to lose the game by making mistake after mistake
Both of these teams are a surprising 2-0. The Steelers are a surprise because Ben is out and they beat 2 really good teams while the Bucs are a surprise because they are the Bucs. Tampa Bay has been playing good defense
After a surprising Week 3 performance in which Wisconsin barely squeaked out a 20-19 win over Arizona State and needed a blocked extra point to do it, the Badgers get
Pittsburgh surprised some people by beating Atlanta last week. It just goes to show that even without their top 2 quarterbacks in, a great defense can win games
Pittsburgh has many question marks. How will the quarterback who is replacing “Big Ben†play to start the year. They lost their best receiver
With emotions running high on both sides of the ball, one team (Florida) will benefit greatly. The other will suffer an embarrassing loss on New Year’s Day. Cincinnati is playing without former head coach Brian Kelly, who led the Bearcats to significant success in recent years
Now we’re talking. The Steelers proved last week that they are alive and well, and won’t give up their title without a fight. Baltimore has been playing the best football in the NFL as of late. Both of these teams need this one badly. Pittsburgh to make the playoffs and Baltimore to have an outside shot at the division
We knew the Steelers weren’t that good, but to lose to Cleveland is inexcusable. This is the week that they finally get back on track. Green Bay has played at a very high level for weeks now, and will make the playoffs. The Packers don’t need this game as much as the Steelers do
Another great week betting, if you’ve been taking our advice all year, you have money in the bank by now. We hit on our weekly teaser last week, and we are going to start off with another one this week. What the hell is wrong with Pittsburgh? The problem is that they are not that good, and never were. Even last year when they went all the way, they never totally dominated people
There was no line at the time of the writing of this column because of the uncertain Pittsburgh QB situation. Charlie Batch is gone, and but it looks like “Indestructible Big Benâ€, will play even with his head injury. He has proven before how hard his head is
Virginia coach Al Groh has beaten the Cavaliers’ arch rival Hokies just one time in his nine years at UVA. He and the Cavaliers look to make that number two and possibly avoid his firing this Saturday in Charlottesville. The Hokies are in a down year at 8-3 and will not contend for the ACC Championship,
Not quite the same allure as the Red River Rivalry between Texas and Oklahoma, but this week’s Bedlam Rivalry game is Oklahoma State’s Super Bowl. The Cowboys have had a tremendous season so far and Oklahoma is sitting at 6-5, ensured of its worst season since 1999
Boise State doesn’t play too many home games where they are only 14 point favorites, but that is exactly what they are this week when Nevada comes to play on the blue turf. Boise State needs a win this week, and badly. Though the Broncos are 11-0, their only hope for a BCS appearance
Despite an 11-0 record up to this point, Alabama still realistically needs to win its next two games to get into the National Championship. With Florida a perfect 11-0 as well, the Crimson Tide will need to beat Auburn this week and Florida in the SEC Championship
At first glance you might think that it was quite a shocker that Oakland beat Cincinnati last week, but at we said the Bengals were coming off their biggest win in years and might be flat. We also felt that Jamarcus Russell was hindering the Raider offense and the switch to anybody but he was the correct move
The best game of the week. Both teams come into this game with a record of 6-2. The Bengals have a division record of 4-0, whereas the Steelers are 1-1 in the AFC North. The Bengals also have a win over Pittsburgh earlier in the season. The Steelers need this game a little more based on Division
We had the Ravens +2.5 last week vs. the Vikings, and although they did miss a late field goal to win the game, the Ravens still covered in losing by 2.There are certain teams in this league that we feel are overrated and others that we feel are underrated.
The bloody Steelers had to choose last week to open up the offense, and shock the Chargers. You have to believe that they will come back to earth this week.
Both of these teams have problems. Miami really can’t play offense at the N.F.L. level. They look like a college or high school team at times, with their “Wildcat†offense and their quarterback who throws the ball like a shot put. Another quarterback, who has a funky delivery is Phillip Rivers
The next 2 games that we are picking, we are going a little bit out on a limb. There are 2 home dogs that both played very well last week as huge underdogs. Both teams had opportunities to win outright but didn’t.
There were some tough losses last weeks for teams, but none tougher for bettors than the people that had Chicago +5. Chicago was up by 2 points with Green Bay driving for a possible winning field goal.
If this match up seems familiar, it is because it should. The Cardinals served as the 2009 NFL Playoff's version of Cinderella, upsetting Carolina and Philadelphia before losing 27-23 to the Steelers in the Super Bowl.
Stop thinking about rain by itself as a bad weather indicator. Look at the mix of wind, turf quality, and precipitation. It's the mix that matters, not one third of the mix.
Beating NFL 1st Quarter Lines
Bettors no longer have to look at mere sides and/or game totals to strike it rich as mostly all the online sports books (and many Las Vegas) outlets provide first and second half wagering lines along with quarter by quarter prices too on football betting.
