Rams
History
Founded in 1937. Started in Cleveland but moved to Los Angeles in 1946. Eventually moved to their present home in 1995. They had some great teams in the late 70's and early 80's when Chuck Knox was the coach. The best years however, were after the year 2000, when Kurt Warner ran the "Greatest Show on Turf", and the team went to 2 Superbowls and won 1. Superbowl Appearances (3), Superbowl Wins (1).
2009 Season Preview
The best thing that happened to the Rams in the off-season was the hiring of former Giants Defensive Coordinater Steve Spagnolo,to be their new Head Coach. Spagnolo is not only young and inovative, but he's tough, players like him and he knows Defense. He will immedately have an effect on a team that hasn´t played any Defense in many years. The Drafting of James Laurenaitis will help at Linebacker, and they picked up many inexpensive Free-Agents such as Craig Dahl at Saftey, who no one knows but can play. James Butler will also help at Free Safety. Jason Smith might be the best OT in the draft and will replace Orlando Pace. This team is rebuilding quickly, and it will take a while but any team that plays "D",and runs the ball behind Steven Jackson, has a chance to win its fair share of games.

St. Louis is coming off its bye week and searching for its first win of the season, as the offense looks to be more productive. The Rams have scored just 46 points on the season, going three and out on 18 of 48 possessions.
Baltimore turned in a dud performance last week in dropping a 26-13 contest to the Tennessee Titans as 5.5-point road favorites, as the team was out-gained by 203 yards just a week after a convincing 35-7 home win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Philadelphia Eagles had their 2010 season end at the hands of eventual Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers and will not begin a highly-anticipated 2011 campaign with plenty of fresh faces
Florida Atlantic travels to The Swamp in Gainesville and will begin the final season under head coach Howard Schnellenberger, who began the program 13 years ago, taking it from obscurity into the major college football ranks
LSU is a dominating 20-4 all-time against current members of the Pac-12 Conference, which includes a 3-0 mark under Miles. Playing inside of a dome will likely factor little in the Tigers ability to come out with a victory, entering with a 22-7 all-time mark when indoors. LSU has won
St. Louis has proven victorious in all three preseason games and picked up a 14-10 win over the Kansas City Chiefs last week. The Rams are still far from perfect and offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels continues to tinker
St. Louis comes in with a perfect 2-0 SU record (1-1 ATS) and bettors have taken notice in moving the line 4.5 points already. The Rams opened up as 2-point underdogs and now are solid road favorites
Bettors are enjoying a unique opportunity to start playing around with the NFL Week 1 lines this year, even with many roster spots in doubt due to free agency starting this week. Professional bettors will continue moving these numbers around until the season kicks off with a premiere matchup
The ongoing negotiations between the NFL owners and the Players Association to arrive at a new CBA (collective bargaining agreement) continue to point towards a resolution that could potentially end a four-month owner imposed lockout of the players and reopen the league for business as early as the end of this week
The 2011 Pro Bowl returns to Hawaii after being held in Miami, Florida last year. The annual contest of the AFC's and NFC's best will take place Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at 7 p.m. ET. This is only the second time in history that the Pro Bowl will be held the week
This is for the division title. The Rams deserve to win the West because of all of the teams out there; they have played the best, week
It is a shame that St Louis lost that game last week against Kansas City, and now must scramble to make the playoffs. Even though they are only 6-8
O.K. Raise your hand if you had these 2 teams in first place before the season. If your hand is raised, in the famous words of Richard Pryor “You’re a lying M
We really thought that Denver was going to put up more of a fight last week, and they sure looked like it by going down the field on the opening drive. The Rams also played well
The Falcons are a great team, the Rams are a good team. The Falcons are ready to do some damage in the playoffs this year, while St. Louis is a year or two away. Atlanta took
Funny how sometimes you see things differently after 8-9 weeks into the season. Before the season many people would have thought the Rams
The Giant defense which is my fantasy defense is off this week, so we picked up the Ram defense because we truly believe that they will dominate Carolina
The Rams have really been playing great football. Tampa was playing great until last week against the Saints. This is a tough one to call
Our record still stands at 31-19-1 for the year. We have to get through the next few weeks, when most of the favorites win, and then we
Another great week. We went 7-3 and hit on our big teaser bet. That makes it year to date, 27-14-1 and 3-1 on Teaser betting. We will start the week
Both of these teams played a great game last week, both beating good teams at home. And both of these teams are on our radar as sleeper teams. This game is impossible
We like this game a lot and we like both of these teams. As a sports bettor you are always looking for good value. Both of these teams are
After a surprising Week 3 performance in which Wisconsin barely squeaked out a 20-19 win over Arizona State and needed a blocked extra point to do it, the Badgers get
Both of these teams are better then people think. One team showed that last week, one did not. It is very hard to take Oakland this week and lay 4 points. That being said
The Cardinals had their chance at a title last few years, now they must retool, not rebuild. Man hasn’t Matt Leinhart turned out to be a dud. They do have Derek Anderson however, who has the same “gun slingerâ€
With emotions running high on both sides of the ball, one team (Florida) will benefit greatly. The other will suffer an embarrassing loss on New Year’s Day. Cincinnati is playing without former head coach Brian Kelly, who led the Bearcats to significant success in recent years
Arizona played like the Lions last week and won, while the Rams played great and lost, but such is life. Good teams find a way to win while bad teams find a way lose. This has been a great week to bet so far as we feel strongly about our picks. This game however scares us
Both of these teams played great games last week but didn’t have enough talent to beat their superior opponents. Steve Spagnolo is trying to build a team in St. Louis but it will take time. Jeff Fischer has all the pieces in place to be a contender next year as it might be a little too late this year. This will be a close game believe it or not, and 13.5 points are too many points
This is another one of those mid season games that nobody cares about. The Rams have been playing better as of late but can’t seem to find a way to win. It’s not going to get any easier this week with Mark Bulger out for 3-6 weeks
Virginia coach Al Groh has beaten the Cavaliers’ arch rival Hokies just one time in his nine years at UVA. He and the Cavaliers look to make that number two and possibly avoid his firing this Saturday in Charlottesville. The Hokies are in a down year at 8-3 and will not contend for the ACC Championship,
Not quite the same allure as the Red River Rivalry between Texas and Oklahoma, but this week’s Bedlam Rivalry game is Oklahoma State’s Super Bowl. The Cowboys have had a tremendous season so far and Oklahoma is sitting at 6-5, ensured of its worst season since 1999
Boise State doesn’t play too many home games where they are only 14 point favorites, but that is exactly what they are this week when Nevada comes to play on the blue turf. Boise State needs a win this week, and badly. Though the Broncos are 11-0, their only hope for a BCS appearance
Despite an 11-0 record up to this point, Alabama still realistically needs to win its next two games to get into the National Championship. With Florida a perfect 11-0 as well, the Crimson Tide will need to beat Auburn this week and Florida in the SEC Championship
At first glance you might think that it was quite a shocker that Oakland beat Cincinnati last week, but at we said the Bengals were coming off their biggest win in years and might be flat. We also felt that Jamarcus Russell was hindering the Raider offense and the switch to anybody but he was the correct move
Part 3 of our 3 team teaser bet is a bit of a risk. Any time you bet against a high powered offense such as New Orleans, Colts, or New England you take a chance. New Orleans however is becoming the hunted as opposed to the hunter. It is easier to win when when you play to win as opposed to playing to not lose
We are going to start this week with our weekly teaser. We told you last week we guaranteed either a win, or something very memorable or shocking happening. After Pittsburgh-1, Green Bay-.5 and Patriots+3.5 covered extremely easily, the Giants +16 couldn’t keep it close at New Orleans. Shocking!
Do I really have to talk about this game? Both of these teams put up embarrassing performances last week and cost us money. Jacksonville went up to Seattle and lost to a so-so Seahawk team 41-0.The Rams got crushed at home 38-10 by Minnesota.
No other person has cost us more money over the years than Brett Favre (except possibly Peyton Manning). He did it to us again on Monday Night.
Both of these teams have problems. Miami really can’t play offense at the N.F.L. level. They look like a college or high school team at times, with their “Wildcat†offense and their quarterback who throws the ball like a shot put. Another quarterback, who has a funky delivery is Phillip Rivers
The next 2 games that we are picking, we are going a little bit out on a limb. There are 2 home dogs that both played very well last week as huge underdogs. Both teams had opportunities to win outright but didn’t.
After compiling a 58-44 record from 2001 to 2006, the St. Louis Rams have fallen apart in the last two seasons, finishing 3-13 in 2007 and 2-14 (6-10 AGAINST THE SPREAD) in 2008.
Stop thinking about rain by itself as a bad weather indicator. Look at the mix of wind, turf quality, and precipitation. It's the mix that matters, not one third of the mix.
Beating NFL 1st Quarter Lines
Bettors no longer have to look at mere sides and/or game totals to strike it rich as mostly all the online sports books (and many Las Vegas) outlets provide first and second half wagering lines along with quarter by quarter prices too on football betting.
