Titans Betting Prediction
(13-3, 12-4 Against the Spread): +1900 to win Super Bowl XLIV
Bet on the Tennessee Titans this season at our number 1 rated sportsbook TotalBets.com
Great defense. Great rushers. Great under play, right? Tennessee will continue to keep scores low but oddsmakers will be quick to post totals in the 30's. Last year, those adjustments gave total bettors an 8-8 record when betting on the Titans. The spreads could have some extra points on them, with last year's success still fresh in people's minds.
Titans Strength:
The Titans’ rushing combo of Chris Johnson and LenDale White totaled just over 2,000 yards and 14 touchdowns on the ground. Johnson is the speed, dashing for the majority of those gains. He is able to get outside and break big plays. He had four runs for 30 or more yards in 2008. White is the goal-line bruiser of the two. He scored 15 touchdowns with an average yard per carry of 3.9. Despite questions about his off-field attitude and poor work ethic, Tennessee loves what White does inside the 3-yard line.
The Titans bring back 10 of 11 starters from last season’s defense that ranked second in points allowed. The only missing cog is a big one. Defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth followed the money out of Music City but the remaining stop unit is sound. Tennessee thrives on takeaways, pulling down 20 interceptions and forcing 23 fumbles.
The Titans’ offensive line was solid in 2008, opening holes for the run-heavy offense and keeping veteran QB Kerry Collins safe. Tennessee allowed only 12 sacks all year, which was tied for the fewest in the league. Veteran center Kevin Mawae is the heart of the O-line and back from a late-season injury. The Titans are blessed with some depth in the trenches if injuries strike or players underachieve.
Titans Weakness:
Football bettors can't seriously think Kerry Collins will repeat his 2008 season. Collins was the talk of the town despite putting up garden-variety numbers. The biggest thing was that he wasn't hurting the team with turnovers and ran the offense with efficiency. The 14-year veteran is injury prone and will have backup Vince Young breathing down his neck. Opposing defenses figured out Collins and forced him to pass deep. The lack of targets in Tennessee makes the push for a playmaker like Young even stronger.
The Titans did try to improve on the receiving corps, bringing in Nate Washington and Mark Jones to go along with Justin Gage. Tennessee will also give rookie WR Kenny Britt a fair shake. Tight ends Bo Scaife and veteran Alge Crumpler are steady options, especially with Collins’ questionable downfield game. But this team still lacks a true game-breaker on the wing and defenses will be allowed to relax and concentrate on plugging the rush.

LSU is a dominating 20-4 all-time against current members of the Pac-12 Conference, which includes a 3-0 mark under Miles. Playing inside of a dome will likely factor little in the Tigers ability to come out with a victory, entering with a 22-7 all-time mark when indoors. LSU has won
Tennessee slipped by the Chicago Bears, 14-13, but failed to cover the spread as three-point home favorites last week. The Titans are 2-1 SU and ATS without the services of star running back Chris Johnson who continues to hold out

The 2011 Pro Bowl returns to Hawaii after being held in Miami, Florida last year. The annual contest of the AFC's and NFC's best will take place Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at 7 p.m. ET. This is only the second time in history that the Pro Bowl will be held the week
After looking like they weren’t going to do it, it now looks like the Colts will win the division. One thing stands in their way, a victory this week against
Kansas City proved last week that they are serious about making the playoffs by going into St. Louis and winning. Tennessee is just trying to find some answers
We are still 17 games over .500 this year, and we have some goods plays for you this week. Both of these teams played terrible last week. Tennessee because
The Texans keep finding new and different ways to lose every week while the Titans have been finding ways to win until recently. Now there is a big mess with
How embarrassing was that game against Philadelphia on Monday night. Looks like they only tried to act tough before the game, not during the game. They made the Eagles look
Tennesee is the real deal. Miami is very good too, they just can’t find a way to win like the Bengals. This is the time of year that we find out which teams are starting to give up
Both of these teams surprised us last week. We thought Jacksonville would beat Tennessee, they didn’t and we thought that Atlanta would play better against Philadelphia
We bet Jacksonville at 22.5-1 odds to win their division before the season. Right now they are in a 4 team tie for first. One of the other teams in
Katy Perry would love Tennessee, because they’ve been "hot, then they're coldâ€, while the Cowboys have been mostly cold
Another great week. We went 7-3 and hit on our big teaser bet. That makes it year to date, 27-14-1 and 3-1 on Teaser betting. We will start the week
The Giants really laid an egg, against the Colts last week. They couldn’t stop the run and couldn’t stop the Colt pass rush. The Titans looked really good in week one and also played terrible in week 2. It’s time to separate
After a surprising Week 3 performance in which Wisconsin barely squeaked out a 20-19 win over Arizona State and needed a blocked extra point to do it, the Badgers get
Pittsburgh surprised some people by beating Atlanta last week. It just goes to show that even without their top 2 quarterbacks in, a great defense can win games
Tennessee played great at the end of last year after a terrible start. They have one of the best coaches in football, play good “D†and run the ball well. All recipes for winning football games.
With emotions running high on both sides of the ball, one team (Florida) will benefit greatly. The other will suffer an embarrassing loss on New Year’s Day. Cincinnati is playing without former head coach Brian Kelly, who led the Bearcats to significant success in recent years
Be very careful the next 2 weeks in your bets, as some lines might seem a little strange, as teams try to make the playoffs and other teams try to play spoiler. We are going to start this week with our weekly teaser bet, and include a great Christmas Day game in it
Both of these teams played great games last week but didn’t have enough talent to beat their superior opponents. Steve Spagnolo is trying to build a team in St. Louis but it will take time. Jeff Fischer has all the pieces in place to be a contender next year as it might be a little too late this year. This will be a close game believe it or not, and 13.5 points are too many points
Virginia coach Al Groh has beaten the Cavaliers’ arch rival Hokies just one time in his nine years at UVA. He and the Cavaliers look to make that number two and possibly avoid his firing this Saturday in Charlottesville. The Hokies are in a down year at 8-3 and will not contend for the ACC Championship,
Not quite the same allure as the Red River Rivalry between Texas and Oklahoma, but this week’s Bedlam Rivalry game is Oklahoma State’s Super Bowl. The Cowboys have had a tremendous season so far and Oklahoma is sitting at 6-5, ensured of its worst season since 1999
Boise State doesn’t play too many home games where they are only 14 point favorites, but that is exactly what they are this week when Nevada comes to play on the blue turf. Boise State needs a win this week, and badly. Though the Broncos are 11-0, their only hope for a BCS appearance
Despite an 11-0 record up to this point, Alabama still realistically needs to win its next two games to get into the National Championship. With Florida a perfect 11-0 as well, the Crimson Tide will need to beat Auburn this week and Florida in the SEC Championship
At first glance you might think that it was quite a shocker that Oakland beat Cincinnati last week, but at we said the Bengals were coming off their biggest win in years and might be flat. We also felt that Jamarcus Russell was hindering the Raider offense and the switch to anybody but he was the correct move
The NFL works in patterns. One pattern is there are surprise teams every year (that would be the Texans). The other is there are teams that get off to a bad start, start playing for next year and start to play well (That would be the Titans). Tennessee has won 3 straight after dropping
The Titans have been playing better after their bye week winning 2 straight against good teams after their ridiculous 0-6 start. They are a better team than that. Buffalo is coming off a bye after getting killed by Houston 2 weeks ago. We truly feel that the Titans have righted the ship
Both of these teams have problems. Miami really can’t play offense at the N.F.L. level. They look like a college or high school team at times, with their “Wildcat†offense and their quarterback who throws the ball like a shot put. Another quarterback, who has a funky delivery is Phillip Rivers
The next 2 games that we are picking, we are going a little bit out on a limb. There are 2 home dogs that both played very well last week as huge underdogs. Both teams had opportunities to win outright but didn’t.
Last season was a good time to be betting on the Tennessee Titans.
Stop thinking about rain by itself as a bad weather indicator. Look at the mix of wind, turf quality, and precipitation. It's the mix that matters, not one third of the mix.
Beating NFL 1st Quarter Lines
Bettors no longer have to look at mere sides and/or game totals to strike it rich as mostly all the online sports books (and many Las Vegas) outlets provide first and second half wagering lines along with quarter by quarter prices too on football betting.
