Broncos at the 49ers NFL football Betting Pick

Denver @ San Francisco nfl betting Pick and Preview
The Broncos take on a much different look this season after having to replace long time head coach Mike Shanahan (retirement), one of the game’s most successful coaches. His replacement, former New England offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, hopes to share the same success as his predecessor. He’ll have to make due without star quarterback Jay Cutler, who was traded to Chicago in the off season for quarterback Kyle Orton.
Orton is a downgrade from Cutler, but his supporting cast should be somewhat improved with an influx of talent at running back. The Broncos added a trio of new rushers, including rookie Knowshon Moreno, and veterans Correll Buckhalter (Philadelphia) and LaMont Jordan (Oakland). Orton should benefit from top target Brandon Marshall, who has made it clear that he wants out of Denver. Marshall has gone for 100 plus receptions, 1,200 plus yards and 6 plus touchdowns in both of the last two seasons.
Denver finished a disappointing 8-8 last season and cost bettors a lot of money, finishing just 4-11-1 against the spread. They missed the playoffs for the third straight year, falling apart at the end of the year just like they did in 2006 and 2007, when they finished 2-5 and 2-4 to end the seasons, respectively. They travel to San Francisco, who finished 7-9 (7-8-1 AGAINST THE SPREAD) last season, as 3 point underdogs.
The 49ers will rely on star running back Frank Gore as they try to iron out their quarterback controversy. The main question in San Francisco’s camp is whether or not Alex Smith, the fourth year quarterback, can beat out Shaun Hill. The Niners have attempted to bolster the receiving corps, adding rookie Michael Crabtree with the 10th overall pick in the draft, as well as Brandon Jones, who saw his role increase slightly as a third option in Tennessee last season.
