Panthers at the Giants, NFL football Betting Pick and Preview.

Carolina @ NY Giants nfl betting Pick and Preview
The Panthers better get used to playing the Giants at the Meadowlands quickly – their preseason game is a precursor to their Week 16 matchup at New York later this season. Both teams performed well against the spread and both were playoff teams last season as well.
Carolina (12-4, 9-6-1 AGAINST THE SPREAD) returns the same corps of players that took them to the NFC Divisional Championship last season, including the rushing duo of DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart. Longtime Panthers Jake Delhomme and Steve Smith return to anchor the team’s passing game. Carolina also added rookie defensive end Everette Brown, who should complement Pro Bowl defensive end Julius Peppers nicely.
The Giants would have liked to return the majority of a team that was the top seed coming out of the NFC Playoffs last season before falling to division rival Philadelphia. However, New York lost backup running back Derrick Ward, who ran for more than 1,000 yards when filling in for starter Brandon Jacobs. The Giants also must do without star wide receiver Plaxico Burress, who said farewell to New York after shooting himself in the thigh last November. Without a true number one receiving option, the Giants look to Domenik Hixon, Sinorice Moss and Steve Smith to separate themselves as the top threat.
New York enters the game as 3 point favorites, and will spend much of the preseason figuring out which wide receiver will be their go to this season. The Giants remain the top contender out of the NFC East, which is considered one of the toughest divisions in the NFL. At +1000 to win the Super Bowl, bettors hope that the Giants will be able to repeat their 12-4 league leading AGAINST THE SPREAD record last season.
Take the Giants -3 for our NFL football betting pick.
