Despite an 11-0 record up to this point, Alabama still realistically needs to win its next two games to get into the National Championship. With Florida a perfect 11-0 as well, the Crimson Tide will need to beat Auburn this week and Florida in the SEC Championship to get there.
Alabama’s 45-0 win over FCS Chattanooga was a nice breather for the Crimson Tide, who had a brutal in conference schedule that continues this week against the Tigers.
For Auburn, a win would put them into the log jam that is the middle of the SEC, where seven teams remain at .500 or one game away from .500. The public is all over Alabama, so the safe play is on Auburn and the points.
