Alabama heads off on the road to face a ranked team for the second time this season and is coming off a 38-14 win over the Arkansas Razorbacks as 11-point home favorites.  The Crimson Tide have won the statistical battle by over 100 yards in all four games this season.

Running back Trent Richardson was named SEC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance, gaining 126 yards on the ground on 17 carries and also finishing with 85 receiving yards.

The Crimson Tide will be meeting with Florida for the 37th time, holding a 21-14 edge in the series, as one of the wins was vacated due to NCAA sanctions.  Alabama came away with a 31-6 win in last year’s meeting as 7.5-point home favorites.

Alabama is 16-5 against ranked opponents over the past three seasons, including a 5-3 mark last season.

The defense is a major strength of the team, holding opponents to 184 total yards of offense per game, while limiting teams to 8.0 points a contest.  Those marks lead the SEC in each category.

Alabama sophomore quarterback AJ McCarron has enjoyed a solid run over his last three games, connecting on 63-of-95 pass attempts for 779 yards and four touchdowns with zero interceptions.  He will be making just his second road start of his career Saturday.

sportsbook bettors will find that the Crimson Tide are 19-10 ATS as a favorite the last two-plus years, while the ‘under’ is 14-12 over that span.

Florida enters with a perfect 4-0 record and has averaged 461.8 yards a game offensively, while its defense is amongst the top five nationally.  The Gators walked away with a 48-10 win over Kentucky last week as 17.5-point road favorites.

Offensively, the team is getting a ton of production out of its running backs, as Chris Rainey and Jeff Demps have combined for 731 rushing yards and six touchdowns.  The team is averaging 40.2 points a game, with a balanced attack that is averaging 200-plus yards passing and rushing.

In his career, fifth-year senior John Brantley has completed 309 of 491 passes for 3,458 yards and 23 touchdowns with 13 interceptions.  He threw for 213 yards, the fourth-most of his career in a 33-23 win over Tennessee two weeks back.

Bettors will find that the Gators have covered all four games this season, but are 0-2 ATS in their last two tries as an underdog the last two-plus campaigns in betting predictions.
