Alabama travels to Oxford to take on Mississippi inside Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.  The Crimson Tide tallied a 23-10 win as 20-point home favorites in last year’s meeting, while coming away with a 22-3 win in its last trip here in 2009.

The Crimson Tide lead the series against the Rebels, 44-9-2, winning seven of the previous nine meetings in Oxford.

October dominating has been the name of the game in Tuscaloosa, with the program posting a 15-1 record since the 2007 season, outscoring opponents by a 410-208 margin.

Alabama has tallied an impressive 13-2 record in true road games since the 2008 campaign, outscoring foes by a remarkable 497-244 margin in that span.

Running back Trent Richardson is still a bonafide Heisman Trophy candidate, coming into the week with 729 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns on just 115 carries.

Defensively, the team is outstanding in allowing just 191.3 yards per game, while leading the country in surrendering just seven points a contest.

sportsbook bettors will find that the Crimson Tide are 22-10 ATS over the last two-plus seasons and the ‘under’ is 15-14 in that span.

Ole Miss is 1-2 in games following a bye week under head coach Houston Nutt, knocking off Southeastern Louisiana in 2009, but falling to Alabama in 2008 and 2010.

Last year, the program faced five top-25 opponents and posted an 0-5 mark.  Before that skid, the Rebels had knocked off four of their last five ranked opponents, including wins over two top-10 foes.

When making your college football betting picks, take into account the Rebels 5-1 ATS mark as an underdog of 21.5 to 31 points.
