Arkansas-Pine Bluff versus Duke betting

Bookmark and Share

The breakdown: The nation’s third overall seed, Duke takes the play-in game winner Arkansas Pine Bluff and the line is set at -22.

Why Duke will win: One of the better shooting teams in the country, Duke has been able to drown opponents in three pointers from Kyle Singler and Jon Scheyer. That should continue as the Blue Devils coast past the play-in winner.

Why play-in winner will win: No play-in winner has ever won an NCAA Tournament game, but if it were to happen, it would be a huge deal. The only way to beat Duke is to get its big offensive threats: Singler, Scheyer and Nolan Smith, into foul trouble. Do that, and you may see a closer than expected game.

Pick: Duke by 20 or more.
