Everybody thought we were crazy when we bet Cincinnati to win their division before the season, but I quess we weren't so crazy. It was simply a process of elimination. There were only 4 possibilities. It wasn’t going to be Cleveland, Pittsburgh was drinking champagne, and at the time I placed my bet Baltimore’s only good receiver was in retirement and mourning the death of his friend Steve McNair.
That left the Bengals, and I saw on ESPN that they said they had a new commitment this year, not the same old nonsense. This is basically the same team that won their division 4 years ago minus Houshmanzadeh while they added Cedric Benson.
Every year there are a few teams that are surprises and this year it looks like the Bengals are the biggest. As far as this game goes, don’t bet it, because after weeks of playing at a very high level, the Bengals might be ready to throw in a stinker here. We are certainly not betting Oakland, and the total is too low. The only play here is bet Cincinnati on the money line but you’d probably have to lay 3 to 1, or include them in one of your teasers
