Finally a game worth watching and talking about, after all of the crappy games we covered so far. Obviously we can’t rule out Pittsburgh, after their new offense played great last week vs. the Chargers, but we still feel the winner of this game could win the AFC North. We bet the Bengals at 8-1 and 9-1 before the season to win the division and we are not jumping off the bandwagon now.
The Ravens are very angry with some questionable calls last week, that cost them the game (and our under bet) vs. the Pats. I agree, let the guys play, the quarterback is a player and can be hit. I’d like to see that called in Aussie rules football, “Oh, the player barely touched the leg of the quarterback when he was on the ground”, penalty, that is absurd. Both of these teams should 4-0 right now. The refs cost Baltimore the game, and the Bengals got unlucky with that crazy Denver reception.
The Ravens are going to play hard this week and play well, but as long as Carson Palmer doesn’t throw interceptions, so will the Bengals. If you must bet, you have to take the points here, but as I said, if Palmer throws an interception for a touchdown, the Ravens cover. We are leaning Cincinnati here, but do not bet too much.
