Boise State just finished up its fourth-straight undefeated regular-season non-conference schedule and will now dive into Mountain West Conference play.  The Broncos have enjoyed tremendous success as a program, as head coach Chris Petersen is 66-5 over the last five-plus seasons.

The team has been incredible on the road, posting a 44-11 record away from Bronco Stadium since the beginning of the 2002 season.

Senior quarterback Kellen Moore is the nation’s active leader in passing efficiency and wins.  He’s been protected by an offensive line that boasted 92 starts heading into the season, which was the 12th-most in the country heading in.

Defensively, Boise State led the nation in red zone defense in 2010, but have fallen off just a bit to eighth-nationally this season so far, allowing six scores on nine opportunities.

sportsbook bettors will find that the Broncos are 10-3 ATS as a road favorite and the ‘over’ is 7-6 in those contests.

Colorado State is coming off its first bye week since Nov. 14, 2009, posting a 1-1 record under coach Steve Fairchild in that situation.  This game will put the Rams defensive front that is third in the country with 3.8 sacks versus a Boise State line that is allowing 0.4 sacks a game.

Since the beginning of the 1993 season, the school has played 38 ranked teams, posting a 13-25 record.  The team’s last win over such an opponent came in 2002.

The Rams face a major test this week, but will still be aiming to start the Mountain West Conference schedule with two wins for the first time since 2005.

When making your college football betting picks, take into account the Rams being 7-10 ATS against conference opponents, while the ‘over’ is 9-8 in those contests.
