Boston College and Clemson will be meeting for the 21st time and the series is deadlocked at 9-9-2.  The Eagles hold a 4-2 mark since joining the ACC and have played the Tigers annually since 2005.

The Eagles picked up a 16-10 win in last year’s meeting as seven-point home underdogs.

It’s no secret that this team is struggling, losing all four games this year against lined competition, with the only win coming against Massachusetts.  The Eagles dropped a 27-19 contest at Alumni Stadium in their last game versus Wake Forest.

Senior running back Montel Harris carried the ball 22 times for 108 yards, while quarterback Chase Rettig completed 23 of 47 passing attempts for 188 yards with a touchdown pass and one interception.

“We’re close, but we’re far away,” commented Eagles coach Frank Spaziani.  “We’ll get it sooner or later.”

It will have to turn around without Harris in the backfield, as he’s out this week with a knee injury.  That’s a huge blow, as he was the ACC Preseason Offensive Player of the Year.

Bettors will find that the Eagles are 1-4 ATS on the year and the ‘under’ is 21-8 over the last two-plus campaigns.

Clemson has struggled against Boston College’s defense the last two years, scoring just two touchdowns, but things are likely to be different this time around.  The Tigers are averaging 466 yards a game offensively, as Tajh Boyd is leading the conference in total offense.

The Tigers became the first ACC team in history to win three consecutive games against top 25 opponents, coming away with a 23-3 win over Virginia Tech as seven-point road underdogs.

Clemson is 5-0 for the first time since the 2000 campaign when the program started 8-0.  It’s been a very impressive run due to all five opponents this year winning some type of championship last year.

For a third time this season, a team that defeated Clemson on the road last year, will come to Memorial Stadium.  The Tigers are 19-7 at home against teams that defeated the Tigers the previous year since the start of the 1999 season.

sportsbook Bettors will find that the Tigers are 9-8 ATS at home the past two-plus campaigns, while the over has cashed in all four games in front of the home fans already this season.
