Denver is 1-2 on the season and will likely drop another game against last year’s Super Bowl champion, as John Fox has had a tough go of it in his first three games in the Mile High City.

Broncos quarterback Kyle Orton is 3-1 against Green Bay during his time with the Chicago Bears, completing 49.4 percent of his passes for 447 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions.

Denver averages only 72.3 yards per game rushing, as the team doesn’t have a 20-yard run this season, while only having five rushes of over 10 yards.  That isn’t likely to change this week when playing a defense that has allowed just 165 yards on the ground.

What the Broncos can do is go to the air, as the Packers have allowed 1,078 passing yards this year.  “Green Bay has a good front seven and can stop the run,” commented Broncos wide receiver Eric Decker.  “Teams so far this year have been able to expose them downfield.

sportsbook bettors will find that the Broncos are 5-15 ATS versus NFC North divisional teams, while the ‘over’ is 18-16 in their last 34 games overall.

Green Bay is coming off back-to-back road wins at Carolina and Chicago, but has won the statistical battle in just one of its first three games.  Including the playoffs, the Packers will ride in on a nine-game winning streak, the team’s longest since the 1996-97 campaign.

The franchise is undefeated in this series with Denver in games played in Wisconsin, posting a 4-0-1 record.  Green Bay has won six straight contests at Lambeau Field overall and 12 of 13.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers continues to be one of the top offensive players in the league, ranking No. 1 with a 120.9 passer rating, connecting on 74-of-103 passes for 917 yards and eight touchdowns with just a single interception.

Running back Ryan Grant is likely to miss this game with a bruised kidney, which will now place the ground attack into the hands of James Starks and Marshall Newhouse, but Denver has held its last two opponents to a combined 110 rushing yards.

Bettors will find that Packers betting are 26-13 ATS over the last two-plus seasons and the ‘under’ is 21-19 over that span.
