Why Temple will win: Make no mistake about the seeding, Temple is good enough to have been a three seed, but didn’t get that because the committee felt that other teams were more deserving of a top three seed. Temple should show up with a chip on its shoulder, and will use its suffocating defense to put out the Big Red.
Why Cornell will win: One of the most efficient teams in the country, Cornell could easily become this year’s biggest Cinderella story. If Temple doesn’t bring its A game, Cornell will capitalize on it with long, controlled possessions ending in points almost every time.
