Miami Dolphins at New York Jets |

Miami is winless and without its starting quarterback heading into Monday night’s contest with the New York Jets. The Dolphins are coming off a bye week, which could help the team’s focus in going into a hostile environment.
Backup quarterback Matt Moore will be under center for the injured Chad Henne, completed 17-of-26 passes for 167 yards and an interception when he saw action against San Diego in Week 4.
“He’s been in the huddle as a starting quarterback before. I think the guy has good leadership qualities,” commented coach Tony Sparano. “He’s a confident guy, little bit of different swagger to him when he gets in the huddle.”
The offense has been a problem, but the defense has been terrible, allowing an average of 414.5 yards per game.
Sportsbooks bettors will find that the Dolphins are 17-19 ATS over the last two-plus seasons, including a 3-5 ATS mark as a road underdog of 3.5 to 7 points.
New York returns home after a forgettable three-game road trip, losing all three games, including a 30-21 loss to the New England Patriots as 7.5-point road underdogs, The Jets have been out-gained by a total of 308 yards combined the last two weeks.
“This team is not going to break just because we’re 2-3 right now,” commented Jets head coach Rex Ryan. “That’s when you get stronger.”
Quarterback Mark Sanchez needs to step up and play a big game, as he’ll be facing a secondary that’s allowing 307 yards per game.
Before going all-in with your NFL betting picks, take into account the Jets being 1-6 ATS as a home favorite of 3.5 to 7 points.
