Philadelphia Eagles (-2) at Buffalo Bills, Total 49.5 |

Philadelphia is set to face its first AFC opponent of the 2011 season and hold a 6-5 series lead over the Buffalo Bills. The Eagles are looking to end a three-game losing streak, that includes a 35-31 loss as 2.5-point road favorites against the Atlanta Falcons on Sept. 18.
Offensively, the team has scored 30-or-more points on the road in four consecutive games, while quarterback Michael Vick became the first player in league history to pass for 400 yards and rush for 75 in the same game last week.
Running back LeSean McCoy is enjoying a tremendous season and is second in the NFL with six touchdowns, scoring at least one in each game.
The last time the Eagles lost four games in a row was from Oct. 30-Nov. 20, 2005, which could happen if the team doesn’t fix things in the fourth quarter. Philadelphia has been outscored 36-0 in the final frame the past three weeks.
Philadelphia has posted a 27-20 record in the season’s second month of the season under head coach Andy Reid, including a 21-13 mark since 2002. This year’s remaining October opponents have a combined 72-81 record in the month since 1999.
Bettors will find that the Eagles are 5-2 ATS as a road favorite of three points or less, while the ‘over’ is 5-2 in those games.
Buffalo comes in with a 3-1 record and dropped a 23-20 contest to the Cincinnati Bengals as three-point road favorites last week. Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick leads the team by averaging 280.3 passing yards and has thrown nine touchdowns.
“We were hoping to go 16-0,” Fitzpatrick commented this week in practice. “But, obviously, not too many teams do that.”
Running back Fred Jackson also remains a viable option in the backfield, rushing for 66 yards and scoring his conference-leading fourth rushing touchdown. He has scored 10 touchdowns in his last 13 games. He has a chance to play a big part in this contest due to Philadelphia allowing 139.5 rushing yards per game.
The Bills defense is not exactly one of the best units in the league, allowing 405 yards per game, but has also caused 11 turnovers, which is second-most in the league heading into this week.
Bettors will find that the Bills betting is 2-2 ATS this season, but have covered both opportunities when playing as an underdog.
