The Philadelphia Eagles will try and snap a two-game losing streak this Sunday night when they tangle with the NFC East rival New York Giants at MetLife Stadium in a battle of two teams headed in opposite directions this season. Game time is set for 8:20 p.m. (ET) and it will be broadcast nationally on NBC.

Things have gone from bad to worse for Philadelphia this year after blowing yet another fourth-quarter lead in a 21-17 loss to Arizona last Sunday as a 13.5-point home favorite. The loss dropped it to last-place in the division with an overall record of 3-6 both straight-up and against the spread. The total has gone ‘over’ in five of nine games this year.

To make matters even bleaker, Michael Vick suffered two broken ribs against the Cardinals and one of his favorite targets, Jeremy Maclin sprained his shoulder. Both are currently listed as questionable for Sunday’s game but Vick remains optimistic he will be ready to go.

New York will look to bounce back after a tough 27-20 loss to San Francisco as a four-point road underdog last week. The setback dropped it to 6-3 SU (4-4-1 ATS) on the year and cuts its lead over Dallas in the division to just one game. The total went ‘over’ the 42.5-point line against the 49ers and has now gone ‘over’ in five of its nine games.

Eli Manning continues to have a career-season for the Giants with 2,688 yards passing and 17 touchdowns while completing 63.1 percent of his throws. He has only been picked-off eight times and fumbled twice which is a dramatic improvement from last season’s 30 combined turnovers. Running back Ahmad Bradshaw remains questionable for Sunday, but look for Brandon Jacobs to fill the void against an Eagles’ defense that is giving-up an average of 120 yards a game.

The Eagles are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games overall and 2-5 ATS in their last seven as underdogs. The total has gone ‘over’ in nine of their last 10 games on the road.

The Giants are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against the NFC East and the total has gone ‘over’ in six of their last nine games as home favorites.

The road team in this series is 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings and the underdog is 12-2 ATS in the last 14 games. Philadelphia has covered the spread in six of the last seven meetings and the total has stayed ‘under’ in 11 of the last 15 games played in New Jersey. Past trends aside, stick with the Giants to put the final nail in the coffin of their bitter rival for the 2011 season with the win at home.
