You were waiting all year for this one, and you knew it was going to come down to this. This is part 1 of the National Title game, as the winner goes on to National Title and the loser will not as long as Texas wins. Last year Florida was a 10 point favorite, and was in trouble for most of the game, till they pulled away at the end. This Alabama team is a year more experienced and this Florida team does miss the big plays out of Percy Harvin, who is with the Vikings.
If the statistics point one obvious thing out about the two top teams in the country playing each other, it is that this game will be a low scoring slug fest. Alabama will be in this game all the way. Both teams play good defense, and this will be a low scoring defensive battle. You must take the points here, because come final gun this game will be within a touchdown either way.
While Florida and Alabama are playing for an appearance in the National Championship and an SEC Championship, consider that Florida has the No. 1 defense in the country, allowing just 9.8 points per game, while Alabama has the No. 2 defense in the country, allowing just 10.8 points per game.
Additionally, both offenses have struggled to score points at time. Essentially, there is no point total that is too low for these two teams. Expect a 14-10 type outcome, regardless of who comes out on top. Take the UNDER in this one and a small play on Alabama.
