As strange as it is to watch a Florida game without seeing Tim Tebow starting at quarterback, the Gators must close the chapter on the Tebow era and start to get used to new quarterback John Brantley. Brantley finished 17 for 25 for 113 yards and two touchdowns in a 34-12 win over Miami (OH), but the Gators did not need much more than that to win comfortably.
Running back Jeffery Demps finished with eight carries for 98 yards and a touchdown, and showed his ability to make big plays against inferior defenses. Now, Florida will have its hands a bit more full with a South Florida team coming off a 59-14 win over FCS Stony Brook. A point spread of just over two touchdowns is a great value, especially for a team that many think could win the SEC and play for a National Championship in January. Take Florida and the points.
