(16) Georgia Tech at Kansas, 12 PM
Few teams looked less impressive in the first game of the season than Kansas, who lost an embarrassing home game against FCS North Dakota State, 6-3. Kansas quarterbacks threw for fewer than 200 yards and one interception with no touchdowns, and the running game did not fare much better, outside of one big play from Daymond Patterson. Taking Patterson’s 51 yard run out of the statistics, Kansas ran 31 times for 45 yards all day. The inability to get it going on offense is a big concern for the Jayhawks, who host Georgia Tech this week.
Georgia Tech rattled off 41 points in its season opener against FCS South Carolina State in a 31 point win. Though the Yellow Jackets only threw for 12 yards, the triple option focused offense racked up 56 rushes for 372 yards and six touchdowns. That should spark Georgia Tech to another comfortable win, even in Lawrence, Kansas. Take Georgia Tech and the points.
