Georgia at (7) Georgia Tech -7.5
Last year when these two teams met, Georgia Tech beat Georgia and completed a fairly magical season under first year coach Paul Johnson. Since then, the Yellow Jackets have become one of the powers of the ACC, compiling a 10-1 record – their only loss, a 33-17 hiccup to Miami (FL) in Week 3 – en route to an ACC Championship game appearance.
Though this game has no impact on the quest for an ACC title, a win would be nice for the Jackets, while the Bulldogs try to avoid a .500 season. Georgia comes in at 6-5 and still hasn’t recovered from the loss of Matt Stafford and Knowshon Moreno.
Georgia Tech will be too much for a beaten up Georgia squad that has struggled to find consistency all season. The Yellow Jackets have looked great all year, and is probably the best team that no one is watching. Except for the early season loss to nMiami, this team would be undefeated and in the national title hunt.
Tech can run the ball, move the chains and score lots of points. This game really is a mismatch, look for Tech to take control of the game early, and gradually build their lead. Tech goes to 11-1 this saturday, and looks forward to the A.C.C. Title game next week. Take Georgia Tech and the points.
