This is one of the most even match ups in the first round. Both Serbia and Ghana have a few world class talents, and Serbia is especially strong on defense, with Newmanja Vidic, Branislav Ivanovic and Nevan Subotic on the back end.
Ghana is strong, and one of the best teams in Africa. If captain Michael Essien returns in top form, Ghana is in good shape, however Ghana is still unsure if he will play, or play at 100 percent in the World Cup. His knee injury has sidelined him, but if he returns to form, Ghana should tie this game.
Otherwise, Serbia will sneak out a win. The under 2.5 goals is a solid bet, especially if Essien is out.
