Nebraska was this close to a BCS bowl game. A heart breaking 13-12 loss to Texas on a miracle field goal kept the Cornhuskers away from a big time bowl berth. They now face off against Arizona, a team that lost two games by a field goal this season to prevent them from a 10-2 season. The Wildcats finished 8-4 but Las Vegas believes they are the superior team in this match up.
This game might be tough to watch, as Nebraska has the nation’s second best defense, allowing just 11 points per game. A big reason for that stingy defense is Ndamukong Suh, the Associated Press Player of the Year and Heisman runner up. Arizona has a tough defense as well, holding opponents to just 316 yards per game, good for 21st in the nation. Look for Nebraska’s offense to eke out a close win. Take Nebraska and the money line.
