Iowa State rarely fields a competitive team and almost always seems to find itself at the bottom of the standings in the Big 12. Iowa has had a recent revival and appears one of the front runners for a Big 10 championship and a BCS bowl game. The Cyclones beat Northern Illinois 27-10 and outgained the Huskies 403 to 249, forcing three interceptions and four punts.
Iowa played FCS Eastern Illinois and took care of business, winning 37-7 and outgaining the Panthers 435 to 157, forcing eight punts. The Hawkeyes are a much better team on paper and behind the experience of quarterback Ricky Stanzi and the explosive big play potential of running back Adam Robinson, the Hawkeyes should win this game by at least 17 points.
