Point spread: New York -4.5
Over/Under: 41

The New York Jets travel west to Mile High Stadium to square-off against the Denver Broncos this Thursday in a matchup of two teams that desperately need a win to keep pace their division race. The kick-off is set for 8:20 p.m. (ET) and the game will be broadcast nationally on the NFL Network.

New York’s recent three-game winning streak came to an abrupt end at the hands of its fiercest rival with a 37-16 loss to New England as a 2.5-point home favorite last Sunday night. The loss dropped the Jets to 5-4 straight-up (4-5 against the spread) and a game back in the AFC East. The total went ‘over’ the 47.5-point line against the Patriots and has now gone ‘over’ in six of their nine games this season.

One of the main problems with New York continues to be the inconsistent play of Mark Sanchez. The third-year signal caller only completed 51.3 percent of his passes against New England and remains well below 60 percent on the year. This season he has thrown 14 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
The Tim Tebow experiment in Denver has produced a 2-1 record in his first three starts but this team is redefining the term ‘winning ugly’.

None the less, the Broncos’ 17-10 victory over Kansas City as three-point road underdogs this past Sunday has them at 4-5 on the year both SU and ATS and just one game in back of Oakland in the wide-open AFC West. The total stayed ‘under’ the 42.5-point line against the Chiefs, but it has gone ‘over’ in six of Denver’s first eight games.

Tebow completed just two passes last Sunday on eight attempts, but one went for a 59-yard touchdown. The bad news to come out of the improbable win was the loss of running back Knowshon Moreno, who is out for Thursday’s game with a knee injury.

The Jets are 6-2 ATS as a favorite on the road and the total has gone ‘over’ in their last five games as a road favorite.
The Broncos are 7-19-2 ATS in their last 28 home games. The total has gone ‘over’ in 12 of their last 14 games at home.

New York beat Denver 24-20 last season on the road as a 3.5-point favorite. This time around things will not be as close as the Jets bounce back with a solid win at Mile High. Be sure to track the movement on this line right up until kick off at BetAnySports.com.
The Pick: New York 28     Denver 17
