Maybe it’s time give the Jets a little credit and start to take them seriously or maybe not. This team is made up of a bunch of no name players, with a rookie quarterback, rookie coach, and one great corner back. It just goes to show you how important coaching is in football.
The cross-town rival Giants for instance had better players but no defensive scheme and wound up 8-8 and fired the defensive coordinator, whereas the Jets have put together a few good game plans are one step away from the SuperBowl. Rex Ryan is starting to coach even better then his dad, the famous Buddy Ryan, and actually has them believing that they can not only win the SuperBowl, but that they are the favorites.
If you play that game against San Diego 10 times, the Chargers win it 9 times, but not last Sunday. When the Chargers finally woke up and started to take the Jets seriously, they were down by 10 points and after missing 3 field goals it was too late. As much as we love Philip Rivers, this week is a different story.
Peyton Manning doesn’t underestimate anyone, and made the “Mighty Ravens” look ordinary last week. The Colts will be well prepared for this game, and will not make the same mistakes that the Chargers did by not putting the Jets away. It has been a great story but all fairy tales do come to an end. The Jets cost us a lot of money last week, but its payback time now. Take Indy and lay the 7.5 points.
