OK, everybody has a opinion on whether or not Bill Bellichek did the correct move by going for it on 4th down deep in his own territory, late in the game, at the Colts last week. In retrospect it looked like a crazy decision. We were watching the game with a big Patriots fan and we ourselves had New England on the money line.
All I can tell you that at the time, we both felt that they did the right thing. First of all it didn’t matter if Peyton had to go 70 yards or 30 yards, he was going to score there, and second of all if you get the first down, the game is over.
The mistake was burning all your timeouts for no reason so you couldn’t challenge the call. The Patriots are going to be mad here so we feel sorry for the Jets. Take the Patriots and lay the 10 points.
