We picked Detroit to win their first game since Christmas of 2007 last week and they did. They acted like they won the Superbowl after the game. We had Chicago last week going up to Seattle and wining a close one and they did. This week is a different story however. Chicago wasn’t celebrating after their win, Detroit was. This is a bad spot for the Lions, as the Bear Defense will try to kill Matt Stafford.
The early (smart) money has knocked the line down from 12 to 10, which means the professional money is going on Detroit. Chicago will win this game (they have to), but they really don’t care about covering the spread. The result of this game is simple, if Stafford can avoid the Bear blitzes, and not make mistakes the Lions will be in this game, if not the game will be over by halftime.
The other “X” factor is Jay Cutler, he can be careless with the ball at times, and if he is then Detroit will have a shot. We really hate to lay a lot of points, but we see this game as being close into the 4th quarter then mistakes by the Lions make the Bears pull away. This is a very tough call as we see the final score being, 23-13 Chicago. Flip a coin on this one, or include it in one of your teasers.
