Detroit has been tabbed by many experts as a team to watch for the upcoming 2011 season and quarterback Matthew Stafford put everyone on notice. He completed 6-of-7 passes for 71 yards and two touchdowns in a 34-3 home win over the Bengals.
The Lions will need to find a consistent run game to compliment their aerial prowess, rushing for 70 yards in the opener. “It doesn’t concern me,” commented Stafford about the team’s running game. “It’s our first preseason game.”
