Miami gets its first chance to show the nation why it is an ACC championship contender when it plays Florida A&M in Week 1. The Hurricanes return 16 starters – seven on offense, nine on defense – the majority of the team from last year’s 9-4 season. The key to Miami’s success is in quarterback Jacory Harris, who is a dark horse candidate for the Heisman Trophy this year.
If Harris has a good season and guides the Canes to an ACC championship, he could find himself holding the trophy at the end of the year. Even though Florida A&M finished 8-3 last year, Miami will have no problems with this FCS team. Take Florida A&M and the points.
