(19) Miami (FL) -5.5 at South Florida
Miami’s 8-3 season thus far has looked a little reminiscent of the Hurricanes of the past – supremely athletic teams who beat their opponents into the ground. Though the 2009 Canes haven’t been as dominant, they have a shot at their first nine win season in five years.
South Florida looked like a Big East contender through the early weeks but hit some speed bumps, losing to Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and Rutgers in lopsided games that eliminated them from discussion of a Big East Championship. The Canes won’t be competing for an ACC title, but they should win this game by a touchdown or more. Take Miami and the points.
