After starting off the season 5-0, it looked like Wisconsin was going to be the team to beat in the Big 10. However, a pair of losses to Ohio State and Iowa quickly put into perspective who the players were in the conference.
Miami had a season that reminded some of the golden years, netting a 9-3 season with wins over No. 18 Florida State, No. 14 Georgia Tech and No. 8 Oklahoma. Behind some outstanding play from quarterback Jacory Harris, the Hurricanes looked like a formidable foe for much of the season.
