Though Virginia Tech has not been able to blow teams out this year, they did have an uncharacteristically big showing at Maryland, beating the Terps 36-9. That was more due to Maryland being inept rather than Virginia Tech’s skills, though.
NC State is coming off a 20 point loss at home to Clemson, which does not bode well for a game in the historically tough Blacksburg. But, Virginia Tech has had six games this season decided by less than two touchdowns, and that’s what it will come down to again on Saturday. Take NC State and the points.
