NFC vs AFC Betting Prediction

The 2011 Pro Bowl returns to Hawaii after being held in Miami, Florida last year. The annual contest of the AFC's and NFC's best will take place Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at 7 p.m. ET. This is only the second time in history that the Pro Bowl will be held the week before the Superbowl. As a result, players from the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers will not be available to participate in the Pro Bowl. A number of new players have been added to the rosters as replacements.

Over the years NFL management has tried to revitalize this All-Star game with little success. Die hard fans tend to care only about kickoff time, the betting lines, and their favorite player's participation in the Bowl. Sure, I wish that Troy Polamalu, Greg Jennings and other players that were voted in would actually play. We still, however, get to watch Michael Vick and other players show off their skills. As for the game itself, the Quarterback position for both squads is loaded with talent such as Rivers, Manning, Brees and Ryan.

The rules are set up to give the Quarterbacks time. But don't be surprised if we have another shootout like last year's Bowl when the AFC beat the NFC 41 to 34. Here is a little known fact: each player on the winning team gets $45,000, while each player on the losing team gets $22,500. Not too shabby of a pay day for participating in an exhibition game.
