If there was ever a year for North Carolina to put itself back on the map, it would be this year. Coming off a successful 8-5 campaign, the Tar Heels return 19 of 21 starters, including defensive standouts Marvin Austin, Robert Quinn and Bruce Carter. This is a big test for both teams, and will show us which team will be good this season.
Expect the Tigers to lose a close one, while coach Butch Davis and UNC assert their dominance and their intentions to win the ACC this year. UNC will win outright, so take the moneyline on these small underdogs.
