(11) Oklahoma State +10 at Oklahoma
Not quite the same allure as the Red River Rivalry between Texas and Oklahoma, but this week’s Bedlam Rivalry game is Oklahoma State’s Super Bowl. The Cowboys have had a tremendous season so far and Oklahoma is sitting at 6-5, ensured of its worst season since 1999, when coach Bob Stoops first took the job.
Division rivalries are always tough, but this is an interesting matchup. The team ranked higher is actually a 10 point dog here. Before the season, you would say that Oklahoma should be favored in this game. Since then they have gone 6-5 and dropped off the radar, losing last week to Tech 41-13.
State on the other hand has quietly gone about there business going 9-2. Oklahoma has to win this game to salvage what’s left of a terrible season. They started out on the wrong foot, loosing to B.Y.U. ,and then it got worse. Oklahoma St. wants to play in a good bowl game, possibly the Cotton Bowl or better with a win
Still, it’s puzzling that the 9-2 Cowboys could be a double digit point underdog against Oklahoma, even if it is their biggest rivalry game. Look for Oklahoma State to win this game outright. Take Oklahoma State and the points.
