Last year was uncharacteristic for Oklahoma, which finished a disappointing 8-5. Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Sam Bradford returned for a shot at the national championship, but instead suffered a shoulder injury that kept him out for most of the year. In came back up quarterback Landry Jones, who played well enough but could not guide the Sooners to a meaningful bowl game.
Still, Oklahoma will have no problem showing the country who is boss in Week 1 against a Utah State team that was 4-8 last year. The Sooners return nine offensive starters, including Jones, and should be able to name their own score in this game. Take Oklahoma -29.
