TCU versus Oregon State is another case similar to Boise State, where a team has been criticized in the past for not playing a tough enough schedule to merit a BCS bowl game or an opportunity to play for the national championship. This year, TCU is challenging itself, playing a Top 25 team in Oregon State rather than last year’s opener against Virginia. The Horned Frogs will match up against Baylor later in the season, and will need a convincing win over Oregon State and a perfect record to again make the argument for a BCS bowl. Luckily for them, 16 starters are back from last year’s 12-1 team, including senior quarterback Andy Dalton, who threw for 23 touchdowns to eight interceptions last year.

For Oregon State, the senior Rodgers brothers are back: running back Jacquizz and wide receiver James, who combined for more than 1,700 yards rushing, 1,500 yards receiving and 33 touchdowns last year. That duo is what the Beavers are counting on to make this season special. Take Oregon State plus the nearly two touchdowns.
