Green Bay strolled into the Georgia Dome in last year’s playoffs as one-point road underdogs and came out with a convincing 48-21 win.  The Packers are the defending Super Bowl champions and don’t seem to be slowing down with a 4-0 record heading into this contest.

Packers head coach Mike McCarthy knows that Sunday night’s opponent is going to be trying to gain revenge from last year’s early exit.  “It’s definitely going to have a playoff feel,” stated McCarthy.  “We’re fully aware of how they feel about us.”

None of it may matter if quarterback Aaron Rodgers continues to play at such a high level, especially due to his numbers indoors.  In 13 career dome starts, including the playoffs, he has posted eight 300-yard games, while throwing for 28 touchdowns and just six interceptions.

The team comes in averaging a league-high 37 points a game and is coming into this contest off a 49-23 win over the Denver Broncos, gaining 507 yards in that game as 12-point favorites.

Bettors will find that the Packers are 27-13 ATS over the last two-plus seasons and the ‘under’ is 21-20 in those contests.

Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan is 2-0 against Green Bay during the regular season, but that didn’t matter in last year’s disappointing result during the postseason.  His rating in those two games is 104.8 and the Falcons are 16-0 when he finishes a game with a 100-plus quarterback rating.

The Falcons definitely need to try and establish a running game, as they are 23-1 when Michael Turner carries the ball 21 or more times in a contest.  It may be tough-sledding against a Packers’ defense that is allowing 71 yards per game.

On the other side of the ball, Falcons defensive end John Abraham will be looking to make it four games in a row with a sack against the Packers, entering with 104.5 career sacks.  Problem is, Green Bay has allowed just five all season.

From an NFL betting perspective, Atlanta is 4-15 ATS as a home underdog of 3.5 to 7 points, while the ‘over’ is 13-6 in that span.
