St. Louis cost us a huge parlay last week as we bet both the Rams and Lions on the money line, to pull off upsets. We were half right. The reason the Rams didn’t beat the Packers last week, aside from sloppy play by the defense was Mark Bulger getting hurt at the beginning of the game. That being said, they were still only down by 6 points late in the game and had a chance to win.
We had the 49ers +7 last week who did cover, but got robbed by another miracle by Brett Favre. They deserved better, and should be 3-0 right now. Losing Frank Gore for a few weeks won’t hurt the running game, much as you think, as Glen Coffee is a more than capable backup. Where it will hurt is in the passing game as Gore is a much better receiver then Coffee.
The Rams still don’t know if Bugler is going to play, but it’s hard to believe he will be back from a separated shoulder in 1 week. Stay away from this game because although we believe in the Ram defense, if the offense doesn’t put up points, the 49ers could win this game by more than 10 points.
