No matter what happens in the other game in Group C, the match up between Slovenia and England is simple: whichever team wins is advancing. A loss would keep Slovenia with four points and would give England five; a win for Slovenia would put them at seven points and keep England with two. The only situation that becomes sticky is if this game ends in a draw, which then puts the weight on shoulders of the United States versus Algeria game.
From a talent perspective, the Brits outclass Slovenia significantly. Expect England to finally wake up out of its sleepy state and beat Slovenia 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1, and move on to the Round of 16 on the wings of captain Steven Gerrard and star forward Wayne Rooney.
