Texas A&M is coming off a crushing 30-29 loss to the Oklahoma State Cowboys as 4.5-point home favorites, blowing a 17-point halftime lead.  “The game changed and we had to respond to what they were doing,” commented Aggies head coach Mike Sherman.  “We weren’t where we were supposed to be when were supposed to be there.”

The Aggies big announcement despite dropping its first game of the season, as the program will join the SEC effective July 1, 2012, with competition to begin in all sports for the 2012-13 academic year.

Texas A&M will be facing a ranked opponent for the second straight game, playing seven such contests in the last 13 games.  The program is also searching for its first-ever win at Cowboys Stadium, dropping its first three games at the venue.

The team was handed a 24-17 loss in last year’s meeting with the Razorbacks, failing to cover the number as five-point neutral-site underdogs.

Quarterback Ryan Tannehill desperately needs a bounce-back performance, as he threw three interceptions against the Cowboys last week.  He has still thrown for consecutive 300-yard games, targeting Ryan Swope on the outside, who finished with seven catches for 105 yards.

Sportsbooks Bettors will find that the Aggies are 0-4 ATS versus SEC opponents and the ‘under’ is 1-3 in those contests.

Arkansas also enters off its first loss of the 2011 campaign, dropping a 38-14 decision to the Alabama Crimson Tide as 11-point road underdogs.  The Razorbacks were out-gained by 171 yards in the contest.

The Razorbacks have won the first two Southwest Classics, and six of the last 10 matchups with Texas A&M.  The team also possesses a solid 14-1 record in regular-season non-conference games under head coach Bobby Petrino.

Offensively, the team is a perfect 15-of-15 inside the red zone, while ranking second in the SEC in scoring offense, averaging 38.8 points a game.

Junior quarterback Tyler Wilson leads the conference with 1,007 passing yards, while coming in 20th nationally.  His 66.9 percent completion rate is also 29th-best among all national signal callers.

college football betting picks will likely land in Arkansas’ direction, coming in with an 18-10 ATS record the last two-plus years.
