Tennessee Titans at New Orleans Saints (-3), Total 37.5 |

Tennessee slipped by the Chicago Bears, 14-13, but failed to cover the spread as three-point home favorites last week. The Titans are 2-1 SU and ATS without the services of star running back Chris Johnson who continues to hold out for a new contract.
A major strength during exhibition play has been the team’s defense, currently leading the NFL during preseason action in limiting opponents to just 11.0 points a game. All three of their opponents have been held to under 17 points.
Veteran quarterback Matt Hasselbeck has assumed control of the starting spot during preseason action, hitting 24 of 37 passes since coming over during the offseason from Seattle. He will likely be backed up by rookie signal-caller Jake Locker out of Washington.
New Orleans is ready for the regular season to begin after a recording a dominating 40-20 road win over the Oakland Raiders as 4.5-point favorites. The Saints are 2-1 SU and ATS heading into Thursday’s preseason finale.
Drew Brees seems to be in midseason form and many experts attribute his early success to getting the team together during the lockout period. He connected on 15 or 23 passes for 189 yards.
Former Missouri Tigers star Chase Daniel seems to be coming into his own behind Brees, including an impressive 39-yards touchdown strike for the team’s final score versus the Raiders.
Bettors may elect to back the Titans due to their 9-4 ATS mark as a road underdog of a field goal or less during preseason play, while the Saints are 12-22 ATS in home games before regular-season play.
