Tennessee is just three points away from coming into this game with a perfect 4-0 record, coming in on a three-game winning streak that followed a 16-14 season-opening loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Titans lost star wide receiver Kenny Britt during Week 3, but still put up 31 points in last week’s win over the Cleveland Browns.  Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck continues to lead the way and ranks second in the AFC with a 104.7 passer rating.

“Just having continuity with the teammates and with the guys, seven though I’m new, they are really stable,” stated Hasselbeck.  “It’s not musical chairs, which has made it a lot easier for me.”

The offense will still be going up against a major test, as the Pittsburgh defense ranks second in the NFL in total yards allowed, giving up just 277 yards per game, including 157.5 through the air.  That means they are susceptible to the running game.

Enter star Chris Johnson, who has underperformed by averaging just 53.3 yards per game, but broke out with 101 yards on 23 carries last week.  He’s starting to earn his massive contract of $53 million.

NFL betting fans will find that Titans betting is 9-8 ATS as an underdog the last two-plus seasons and the ‘over’ is 10-7 in those games.

Pittsburgh is an even 2-2 on the season and is coming off a 17-10 loss to the Houston Texans as four-point road underdogs.  The Steelers bounced back nicely after suffering a season-opening loss against Baltimore, handing Seattle a 24-0 shutout loss as 13.5-point home favorites.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been battered in the pocket behind a suspect offensive line, suffering a sprained left foot, as the team gained just 296 yards last week.

He has a great chance of turning things around this week, completing 77.8 percent of his passes for 581 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions in winning both career home starts against the Titans.

Stopping the run was a priority in practice this week, as Pittsburgh led the league a year ago in the category, but is surrendering 4.8 yards per carry through four games this year.  That’s much higher than the 3.0 of 2010.

Bettors will find that the Steelers are 18-20 ATS over the last two-plus seasons, while the ‘over’ is 21-17 in those betting prediction contests.
